My mom and I just ate here for lunch and the food was AWFUL! I ordered fajita nachos and the steak was chewy and had no flavor. Moms food tasted a bit better, but still wasn’t good. It honestly tasted like both our meals were stale. So gross! The server was good, but she barely came by to check on us or anything, and we had to ask for drink refills. Definitely won’t be back ?
This place has been open for about a year, but on the night that we dined, the restaurant was understaffed. However, this one guy was covering the host stand, he was waiting on tables, covering the bar, and was possibly even fixing plates. We were lucky that the place was not overly swamped with guests, but nonetheless we got great service. The food was prepared fresh and hot, the chips were hot and the salsa was fresh and delicious, and the drinks were refreshing. We had a great dining experience. When, and if the place gets staffed, this place will be the go to Mexican restaurant for this area.
We were extremely disappointed with the poor service we received. We entered the restaurant and the guests who were in front of us informed us that they had been standing waiting to be greeted for over 20 minutes. We waited for 15 minutes and were not greeted and informed of a wait time to be seated or seating availability. Anyone could easily see there was plenty of seating, it just appeared they didn't have adequate staff.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Didn’t even make it past the host and already had a bad vibe. It was around 1pm when we went for lunch. Only one server seen no host/hostess at the front. When the server saw us, he gave us a glare and said it will be 15 minutes before you are seated. He had four 2 top tables and looked like he was in the weeds. I understand they may be under staffed but don’t give an attitude when all we wanted was to have lunch. Do not recommend going here.
Came to this location for the first time and I asked the host if we could sit outside and all he said was “no”, in the rudest tone. I understand they are under staffed due to covid but it was such an unpleasant first impression. Sad to see businesses suffering but at-least make the best of it with what you can.
food is on point ? what the hell my recommendation should come with a free meal ?
We had visited this place many times before and it used to have a good if not an authentic Mexican vibe. This time it was a complete mess. The management just used the COVID to really understaff the place and the food was sub par. The waiter tried his best, but things were well beyond his hands.
We should've left when we walked in at noon on Saturday and we were one of two people there. There was a sign saying that staff was limited too. We were sat and no smiles or welcome from anyone. The waitress took our order and hesitated when we asked for chips. The food came out and my grilled chicken tasted like it had been made for a few days and reheated. The lettuce in my salad was also old and browning. We ran out of chips and she never asked to refill and never asked how our food was. The water tasted like some kind of cleaner was lingering in the glasses. We saw two people walk out. Overall, I was so disappointed b/c I so wanted a good lunch experience with my daughter and the On the Borders I've been to in the past have all been good. I will hesitate to go to one of these restaurants again.
Very kind staff and the food quality was great. It did take a little long to get shrimp tacos. It felt like they were understaffed so I don't knock them for the wait time. The honey Chipotle shrimp tacos are pretty good.
Me and my girlfriend came here for dinner after work, walked in and was quite confused on how to be sat because there was no hostess. We decided to go seat our selves in the bar area, we waited for about 10min before greeted by the bartender. Put my order in right away and our appetizer came before our entrees which was good. I had order the melon margarita, it was quite strong for it to be only 5$. Our food was good and service wasn’t that bad although they were quite slow.
