The hostess was amazing at getting my group of 14 in without a reservation and they were busy alright! She constantly checked in with us as we waited for a table offering us many options so we wouldn’t have to wait long. Food was great reason why I took off the star is I wish our server would have been more attentive. Maybe it just wasn’t there night? Food was great. We will definitely be back soon though

Food was sub par for price. Salmon over cooked and very fishy. Still had lots of bloodline that I had to pick out. Had to send back flatbread. Appetizer of sea bass sliders was basically a sliver of fish between a king Hawaiian Roll slathered with Mayo. Very low quality food especially for the cost. Very loud environment made hard to carry on conversation. We will never go back. If I am going to spend over $200 on a meal, we will go where quality of food is high and fresh.

The food, drinks & service was amazing!!!! My only concern was they didn’t do anything for my birthday which wasn’t a big deal but maybe something to consider for the future.

We have eaten at Kona many times and have enjoyed it. However, this was at lunch. We had dinner here for the first time last night and it was a terrible experience. We made 5:45 reservations to give us plenty of time to eat and make a 7:30 movie right next door. After waiting a full hour for our food to arrive I asked the server to check on it. He never came to the table to tell us why it was so delayed and when I asked I was told they were "very busy". The restaurant was not busy when we sat down at 5:45. By 7:00 when I asked about the food it was busy, but we should have ad our food long before then. another 15 minutes goes by and the serves comes to t he t able and says they are out of two of the our children's food orders. An hour of waiting to then be told we have to choose something else. Ridiculous! Half the food comes out without the other half. No napkins or utensils given until we asked. No condiments given with asking. I use the word asking lightly. Server walked past our table multiple times with out checking if we had these items. Finally get all and have to scarf it down in 10 minutes to make the movie. Table behind us arrived 30 minutes after us and got their food in 20 minutes, finished and left before our arrived. Unfortunately, we will not be going here anymore.

The waiter brought 3 menus for 6 people. we had to ask for more. He never cleared the dishes from the appetizers until we handed them to him. He have us a space amount to soy sauce and would not leave the bottle with us at the table. He never refilled the waters and we had to ask multiple time to get silverware and napkins. It seemed like there was a shortage of linens as he actually brought us paper cocktail napkins when we asked for them. Finally our second round of drinks did not come until we were virtually finished with our dinner. The whole dinner seemed like it was an effort to take shortcuts and tighten the belt. We use to like Kona grill but this has happened previously and what we thought was an anomaly seems to be a standard of poor service and cost cutting efforts.

I am taking the time to write this review because I am so disappointed. My daughter made a reservation with five of her friends at 7:45 pm last night. They showed up an hour early and asked if there was a table available. They told them they would text them which they did at 7:49. They were seated at 7:50 and their food was not served until 9 PM. None of the servers cared to explain or apologize for the unacceptable wait time. One server said there are 10 tickets ahead of you. I was under the impression that this was a very nice restaurant. After we complained very nicely, no one offered a credit a refund or any accommodation to make up for our disappointing experience. Please contact me at 770-845-6055.
