This is a fantastic place to dine in Alpharetta! We arrived for a late lunch/early dinner. The building looks to be an older house from the area. It is well decorated and has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. We were quickly sat and drink orders were taken. We started with the BBQ shrimp. These were served with some nice French bread. The flavor was bold and fantastic. They had the right amount of spice to them and served as a great appetizer. Highly recommended. Then I had their signature salad with blackened shrimp, avocado, boiled egg, and vinegarette. The salad was great and perfect for a warm summer day. Overall, the people and the food here are very nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I would certainly eat here again.

Every single thing we ordered was outstanding. Each dish had an explosion of flavors in each bite. I would recommend this restaurant ten times over!!!

If you have ever visited New Orleans, this will take you back with the cajun flavors and wonderful swamp setting right in the middle of town. The adult drinks are a surprisingly twist on anything standard. They specialize in great customer service as well. Can't wait to revisit next week.

First timers !!! Everything was excellent , the service , the ambiance … and the food!!!! Just left NOLA and this food was much better! Will return . Crab Dip, Chargrilled Oysters, BBQ CATFISH NUGGETS , Catfish Po Boy … Beignet!

Where else in Alpharetta can you get Gator bites and hot crab dip, gumbo, or fresh gulf oysters? Well, I have found the place. It’s Flatlands Bourbon & Bayou just off of North Main Street in Alpharetta located in an old craftsman style house surrounded by trees with a coy pond, and seating either inside, on the porch or under umbrellas in a flagstone courtyard with a gazebo. Music entertainment was a jazz pianist with a Louisiana flair on an electronic keyboard. If you are asking for bourbon, Flatlands has it and then some. Don’t worry there’s enough Scotch and other liquors to fill the bill as well. We started out with Nola Bloody Mary’s that contained Andouille sausage and an al dente asparagus stalk in addition to the usual items. It was delicious. My wife and I had the Flatlands Signature Salad with shrimp, bacon, avocado, egg, red onion, tomato, bleu cheese crumbles, and tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. Our friends spit a garden salad and eggs benedict. Our other friends had blueberry pancakes with fresh whipped cream and her husband had the Nola Salad made with cinnamon cranberry goat cheese, candied pecans, red onions, and strawberries tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. They serve both regular and decaf coffee in addition to sweet tea. We were not rushed and the waitstaff was very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend Flatlands to you.

I found this place on Tiktok while looking for pla c es to eat in Alpharetta. The ambiance was definitely giving New Orleans vibes and was very welcoming. I got the lychee Martini which was great and the charboiled oysters which were absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the salmon dinner and my friend had the crab dip and pasta dish which were good as well. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. All in all great food selection.

Flatlands is one of our all time favorite restaurants. It’s absolutely delicious. Every plate is so flavorful. And I think the portions are very generous. I always have half of my food left. So I think that you could total share unless your just starving or once you realize how good it is you will not want to share. The staff is always super friendly. Great food and wonderful customer service.

Nice atmosphere with a great selection of whiskey and bourbon. The bar is big enough to eat at. The menu is fairly limited, but the offerings are delicious and generous. I've tried 6 different things from the menu on 2 different visits, and I have not been disappointed yet.
