I love Chiringa and all of the wonderful people there! It’s truly the center of the downtown Alpharetta community and I always feel like family here! The drinks and the food will make you feel like you’re at the beach and living your best life!
Not to sure how this place got such high rating. My wife and I went due to the high ratings and reviews left. Since this was our first time we weren’t to sure if you seat yourself or have to wait to be seated. Well, you order at the front and make sure you walk to the right cause there are menu on the side counter. There are no arrows indicating where to go, they only have a sign above stating order food and drinks. Which if you never been there and there is no one in front of you to follow it’s very confusing. There is very little seating inside. Seems like most of the seating is outside. The food doesn’t come out on plates if you dine in. They still give it to you in a to go container. Sadly, nothing stood out. Our French fries were way over cooked, had no seasoning on the and sadly everything was Luke warm. They didn’t even ask how I would like my burger cooked so if you like yours a certain way…. Well, your out of luck here. To top it off the pickle was disgusting and not sure what the celery swirl was in my wife’s wings (epic fail). We didn’t even go when it was busy. There was “manager” doing work at the table behind us.The empty table next to us wasn’t cleaned cause there was crumbs left on it from when someone else ate there.To say the least we were extremely disappointed and would not recommend.
Good food! Fresh and tasty. The chips and salsa are awesome, and the fries with my Cuban were great! Very chill vibe and good outdoor seating. Only complaints were that the margaritas, while tasty, weren’t much on alcohol. For $9 it should have a little kick. Also, I was told that I’d get a text when my food was ready, but it never came. So, I walked in and saw it sitting on the pickup board. But, we’ll be back for lunch!
Good food, generous portions, great patio, super casual!
Grabbed a quick, casual lunch here for the first time today. I can see this place totally popping off during the warmer months with its beach vibes & open green space with ample outdoor seating. Service was A+. Super friendly & accommodating. Food was fresh & tasty. We opted for the fish sandwiches & were not disappointed. Even the tartar sauce was bright & herbaceous. Sides of fries, cucumber salad, & plantains were excellent. Rounded it off with a Red Stripe for the Mr. & a Margarita for me (house made mix made with fresh squeezed citrus). With tip it was $85+ so I can see why some might consider this pricey for average portions. The only bummer? While tasty, the margarita was pretty weak. Overall, if I was in the area for lunch, I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.
This is a family & friends favorite hangout for us. Being at Chiringa always feels like coming home, and I could have nothing but their Frosé and guac for the rest of my life and be happy!! Plus, my dogs love it here.
I love Chiringa!!! If it's a beautiful day outside, it the perfect place to sit out and enjoy the day. If it's not sunny, a margarita and a seat inside will make you feel like youre at a local beach bar to brighten your day! I love their guacamole, "chirwingas," margaritas, and burgers most, but everything is great! I look forward to every time I go and have so many amazing memories there. Only wish I lived a closer so I could go more often.
This place is fantastic! Best fried shrimp I have ever had. And the calamari is pretty amazing too. I will definitely be going back. And as an added bonus, both the shrimp and calamari are gluten free, so those with gluten intolerances or celiac disease can enjoy it too.
Drive up from Buckhead to spend the day (and night) at Chiringa! The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere always has me having the best day!
Super fresh Tex-Mex cuisine. Best margaritas in town! You can choose to either dine in, in the small indoor restaurant which often has an acoustic musician playing in the corner… Or dine outside on their patio next to the lawn area in downtown Alpharetta …. where there are corn hole games, a large water fountain, and children playing on the grass. Food is delivered quickly and perfect every time. Delicious fish and shrimp tacos!
