***If you don't value your time, this restaurant is for you. Never seen such a clumsy service in other 1000 restaurants I may have dine in.***The owner is very unprofessional, no helpers, no cleaners, her own wife alone cooks for everybody and that gets them so busy that you have to wait for 1.5 - 2 hours in peak hours. I visited with my family with one year old child for 4 times in 2 weeks and had to go back without dining in because the person seating at the counter always indirectly suggested us to leave because it would take more than an hour of waiting (which usually turns in 2 hrs). Today I finally placed an order because he told me that we can run errands (if any) and come back. He said he will call us back when order is almost ready. He told us it will take approx an hour. I kept calling the restaurant after an hour long wait but they never answer, finally we went there at 9.15 pm and it was not busy at that time but our order was still not ready and he told us it is 30 minutes more wait. So frustrating!! And he lied that the people eating right now have ordered ahead on phone and then come back to eat. But he always denied phone orders in the past for me and my couple friends saying you have to be here to order (phone orders are not accepted anymor). Also people ordered after us were eating there already, but he didn't care about our order and calling us, just because they were very busy with customers in front of them.Another thing is they open and close very much unexpectedly as per their wish and convenience without any advance notice.Don't waste your time. There are many more south Indian restaurants nearby.
Simple and excellent food .. if you are looking for a quick snack or simple dinner .. then this place wont disappoint you..Always a favorite for us.. the place is now overcrowded on weekends.. so you may have to pre-order via phone or order and then comeback later.. weekdays are comparatively betterThe quality of food hasn't dropped since the 1st day we visited..The people are always polite and honest.. if they feel that they won't be able to get things out in time.. they will let you know clearly..
Very authentic, fresh and flavorful south Indian food. This also offers a few Chaat & parotta items. We tried beet root dosa, masala dosa, egg curry & malabar paratha, vegetable korma with paratha along with pani poori. All the food was very good. Got very attentive service. I strongly suggest Aunty's kitchen to anybody who want to try Indian food in Alpharetta area.
We had Dabeli and Masala Puri... it was too good We loved the mango pickle just like back home
Very cozy place to have your food. They are open for a very limited time of the day and closed thru out on a monday and tuesday. Family owned small shop business. Food is extra ordinary with limited menu. Wait time has increased gradually as more people finding it everyday. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to try every single item on their menu.
We went to this place as we were craving for the authentic taste of sambhar with dosa and idly. We loved it and will definitely come back for more. The idly was soft, dosa was just right and the sambhar had the right flavors. The place also gets full marks for cleanliness.
The unique thing about this restaurant is that the chef is Aunty as the name suggests. The food was absolutely authentic. They strive to keep the taste intact and consistent and so they like to make sure Aunty is the only chef making every dish! If you miss home and like to eat some homemade food, this the place!I was debating to give a 4 star only because there's a long wait time but the trade off for that would be that the taste is compromised.
Family-owned restaurant..good for Tamilnadu and Kerala food as the wife and husband are from there. Not good for chaat items like pav bhaji, dabeli, masala puri as they were all overly sweet. Kerala paratha, sev upma, idiyappam, were all great. Bottom line is this restaurant is not good for chaat items, great for Kerala and Tamilnadu food.
Looking at the reviews expected a lot but both me and my husband got bad stomach aches after eating the chaats. We ordered dahi poori and bhel puri. We waited half and hour for the order and never got stomach problems ordering from any other Indian restaurant in the area till now.
Look at the quantity. This is $10 idli Sambhar. You can not even eat one idly with thsi quantity of sambhar chatney is more than this. …this is not first time , all quantity is very very less … will not recommend at all
