This place surprised me. I was quite happy with the quality of the food, particularly with the country fried steak. The staff is always friendly, and the restaurant tends to be constantly busy for good reason. I love it because I can quickly eat while on break and I can always find something good.Not everything on the buffet is good, and their desserts in particular tend to leave a lot to be desired, especially after the high quality of the rest of the buffet. The banana pudding always breaks and the cobbler tends to be a little one note.In conclusion, there's lots of good food for the price, but, as with any buffet, there's gonna be some stuff that doesn't work. Good thing you can just try something else for no extra cost, right?
Amazing place and I enjoy the meals and the restaurant is really like home cooking. I highly recommend it!
Been coming here for a few year's and is a blessing to know a place to come get a decent meal that is not the typical fast food chain.The owner is always nice to everyone that comes in and makes sure everyone is taken care of. I think the few bad reviews on here are just one's being picky and looking for something to complain about. The price is very reasonable. I love the vegetables and meats because they are never over seasoned like some other places. My son loves coming too because of all the choices and the ice cream.

This place was soooo good!! I had the steak tips, country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, black eyes peas, collard greens, lots of salad, and the best chocolate chip cookies. Would eat here every day if I lived here. Only $12.75/ person!! Amazing
I'm a pilot. I travel. I've eaten in thousands of restaurants. Hundreds of buffets. This was the worst. Ever. Cold food. Salisbury Steak.? No resemblance to the real thing. Awful. Everything. AWFUL. I went to pay my tab. $13.50, plus tip. I started to tell the guy at check out. SUCKED. I want my money back. The only decent thing you cook are chicken legs. I didn't want the possible confrontation. Would I go back? Not if they offered me one free visit, every week for a year. Not if they promised to cook and deliver all my food for life. Understand.... lotta people are retirees in this area. Eat dinner early. 4-6 pm. I hope they enjoy. Pray they find a better place to go. And.I have NEVER, ever, in my life shared a restaurant experience to Yelp or anywhere else. That's how bad, cold, and how long the food on the buffet had been out there. French style green bean casserole? One bite. Inedible.I will add this. The servers are great. Nice, sweet, attentive to a customer's needs. They aren't the ones buying cheap, putting out lower level products.
We ABSOLUTELY LOVE AJs! We are working in the area for several months and eat their every chance we get. We also plan to make the trek from our different residences in Metro Atlanta to meet up with owner Morris and his wonderful staff. Reminds me of the old days when the folks owning and working at a restaurant knew their customers names and always has a smile on their faces. The food is delicious, homemade and everything is fresh (except as informed the canned green beans, but still good). And nothing is over cooked or greasy. If you love country home cooking, you will love AJs! Morris, please open a location inside the perimeter??
AJ'S is a buffet so I ate a lot of different foods. Fried chicken and shrimp were good. Nice salad bar. Lots of meats and vegetables to choose from. Also offered soup. Nice experience.
My mother and I have been coming to this place for months and every time we come we observe , it never fails, the Hispanics and blacks are always ALWAYS SEATED in the back , it feels segregated and racist, the food is good but the atmosphere is not welcoming here.
Awesome food. Awesome service. Great value for the price. My brother had the day off in the only thing he really wanted to do was have some good country cooking. We were going to be in Alpharetta and based on reviews this sounded like the place to go. So glad we did. It was so good. Everything was fresh and homemade and the place was very clean. From the moment we walked in the door We were made to feel welcome and at home. Highly recommend and will definitely return when I’m in the Alpharetta area.
