My family & I really like Picnic Pizza but that's not to say that we really like everything we've ordered. I've had some bad food, like the tasteless chicken marsala, some ok food, like the eggplant parmesan, & some really good food, like the garlic & olive oil pasta. The pizza, calzone & salads are always good. And our servers have always been very nice & accommodating.
Fantastic family friendly place. Been going there for years. You can't beat their service or food.
The food was awesome but our server seemed over worked and acted as if she might of been high or drunk on something drink orders took 30 mins to get to the table after telling our waitress 3 times our drink order
The food was awful. The mozzarella sticks were the worst I have ever had - very rubbery. The fried mushrooms were borderline burned and tasted heavily of old oil. Stouffer's frozen is better than the lasagna here. The ranch dressing was so tangy we couldn't eat it. This is not the same Picnic Pizza we used to love when we lived in Albany years ago.
We went with my Great Uncle who is there every week. The waitress, who's name I can not remember, was absolutely amazing. She made sure my Uncle got his usual meal and drink. She was super friendly and helpful.
The ricotta cheese and the manicotti was horrible. It tasted like it had been frozen and then microwaved. There was no melted cheese, and the plate was cold. Very disappointed. The burned out letters on the sign in front should have been a warning to me.
Service was great and the sandwich I had was really good. Nice and clean little restaurant.
Great Italian food as always. The servers are probably the best in town. I can say that because we dine out often.
Great pizza, great service. This is a regular stop when I come to Albany.
