Mike the owner suggested the Shanghai chicken. It was great. And their cashew chicken is the best of anywhere I've been. I've eaten here, when I'm in town, for over 20 years. Always delicious!The food was served quickly and Very hot. The staff was so nice and helpful. Thanks to them for such wonderful meal! We will definitely be back. And we definitely recommend to everyone.

The local OG for Chinese food. They have the best egg drop soup on the planet. They also offer many great traditional Chinese dishes that are sure to please your palet. Good food and good quick service.
I will not eat at this place ever again felt like I was lock up in jail or four years old with the kiddie portions they were dishing out was still hungry when I left the place
Awesome food and wonderful staff!!! My family have eaten at house of China for almost 30 years and have never had a bad experience!!! Mike knows my order better than I do !! We order delivery atleast 3 times a month and also dine in for lunch !!! Great Service all the way around
Clean and great food. Ordered pepper steak and Mongolian shrimp with fried rice and eggs rolls. Food cooked perfectly and nearly presented. Will be back.
NO BUFFET. Dine in or take out only. Prices are ok, the food was not very flavorful. Egg drop soup was NOT egg drop soup, Lo mein was small serving of undercooked spaghetti noodles in sauce. And I paid for a side item that I never received. Didn’t notice until I was headed home. The customers that were there were very satisfied but the food was NOT for my flavor pallet. Probably won’t return.
I have been eating at this place for at least 40 years or close to it. . It use to be the best Chinese restaurant in Albany . Not any more . I always get the sweet and sour pork and always had plenty . Went there today and they put maybe 10 pieces of pork on the plate .. Usually it was at least 3 times as much The few pieces of pork I got were good but the rice and egg rolls were sub par and not like they were in the past . The restaurant smelled pretty bad also. I hate to say it is the end of a dynasty .
My family has been enjoying the delicious food from House of China ever since they started out on Slappey Dr. over 40 years ago. I initially went with my first husband & my sister, now I came going with my forever husband and niece! Everything is fantastic and if you are undecided Mike will suggest dishes. Once you visit you will definitely go back.
