Blackbeard's was a very nice place to have dinner. I had a bowl if brunswick stew and my husband had the catfish po-boy. Both were delicious.My margarita was huge. It is the only size they serve!
Waitress was super cute and nice, but the food was terrible, close to the worst I’ve ever had!! Drink selection was terrible! Would recommend you stay away from there!!
This was my 3rd time here and it was good! Each time I go I try something different and I wasn’t disappointed, I had the chicken and dressing and although it was slightly salty it was good, the only thing I would have passed on was the Mac and cheese it wasn’t very good. I did really enjoy the field peas and snap, while the cornbread was sweet to me. The lemonade was delicious and you get a huge cup of it so be very thirsty! Next time I will try the pork chops they looked good and you get 2 huge pieces, so just bring appetite and fast before you come!!
Food was excellent. You can tell they are appreciative of FINALLY having their customers coming back. You can taste it in the food. I was a little worried a few months ago, but now they're seemingly getting back to where they used to be in the quality of the food. Danielle was awesome, didn't have to wait. Great.
I was visiting a friend and she took me here for dinner. The staff was nice so I will at least start with that. They state they have barbecue but they don’t have brisket even though it’s still on the menu. They only have two barbecue sauces that I tasted first and decided against ordering the meat. I’ve been to all various parts of the United States for barbecue. I was disappointed I couldn’t try it here. I went with the marinated chicken breast over rice which wasn’t too bad. I don’t believe they make their own coleslaw so that was just typical slaw, and the mac & cheese was very bland. My friend had the catfish filet and I didn’t hear her complain. Good serving size. Hush puppies I could almost taste the grease from the fryer and they were not cooked all the way We also ordered the fried green tomatoes and there are 12. Again, just battered and fried, no flavor. Came with ranch dressing.
This local spot serves delicious bbq and plenty of it. Our waitress, Kailey, was kind, funny, and so helpful. We were just passing through Albany, but may stop by Blackbeard’s again next time we are close.
Blackbeard's is NO where near how it was in the days on Radium Springs. The fish was delicious and was GREAT even hours later. The fish now tastes as if it was fried too long. They still have a crowd and I will always get us dinners but not as often.
Our waitress was really awesome and the great service was much appreciated! Most of the food was so salty that I couldn't eat it but what I had was very good. The food here has always been fine but please don't add so much salt. :(
My family and I went there yesterday around 4:30p...perfect timing. Not too many guests. The fish was fried just the way we like it.Our waiter Sean provided excellent service and sang happy birthday beautifully. We had not been there in quite a few years and it was great.
Thank you!!! They were able to accommodate our large party of 33 in a manner of minutes. The two waitresses, Lucretia and Danielle, were AWESOME!! Not one time did they complain or have an attitude and every order was CORRECT!! GREAT FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
