We read reviews before coming and thought that the one review from Stephen Walker was a one off. But sure enough he was 110% correct. I got the chicken quesadilla, when I picked it up the grease dripped from it all over my hand. More squirted out with each bite. Then our order was screwed up in several different ways. Plus my mother had ordered an appetizer that came after our meal, which tasted Ike canned chicken/tuna. (Picture attached—we’re taking them home to our dogs. The fajitas tasted like the pre-made fajita meat you can get from Sam’s. Then my mom ordered dessert when I said, no don’t do it, sadly she did not listen. My daughter immediately had to go to the bathroom after eating the fajitas. The best thing about the meal was the chipotle ranch which taste like the dressing subway used to use.
My family and I have been coming here for years—since they opened. We have been there through all of the staffing shortages and management changes throughout the years. Sure, there have been days when there was a long wait for food and service was slow, but I have never left disappointed at the end of the day. I’m never one to turn down a margarita at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I can’t say the same about my experience today. Someone at my table ordered a jack and coke in a tall glass but we were charged for a double (not what we ordered). We asked the waiter about it and they were able to take off $4.00 but the total for the extra drink we were charged for was $8.50. When we asked to talk to the manager, we were told that because the drink had been drank, there was nothing further they could do. Uh, I’m sorry? How did I know that you brought the wrong thing to the table? The waiter told us that he told the bartender that we ordered a single but she poured a double. 1) that is not my fault 2) I have worked in the restaurant business and am still in customer service so I know that you can take off more than $4 to rectify the situation. We were then told that because it was alcohol they couldn’t remove it. We clearly ordered food as well, so you can make it work however you need to to rectify it. In all my years in customer service have I blamed the customer—even if it was their mistake (which in this case it was not). You always find a way to make it right for the customer. I’m never one to argue regarding food. I know the food and service industry is hurting so I usually don’t complain and certainly don’t write yelp reviews. But this time was totally unprofessional and inappropriate. Especially after the thousands of dollars I have spent here over the years. It’s going to be really tough to argue coming back here. Especially if Israel or Ana aren’t working.
I ordered food online from the website that this restaurant’s link took me too because their phone number either no one picks up or they pick up and hang up. We liked the food we got here the first time so decided to try it again and made sure we ordered ahead of time. They charged me and everything $57.28, and when my husband got there, the place was packed with people trying to pick up their orders and then they tell my husband that they don’t have an order for us! People from Uber Eats were also leaving being told that they don’t have an order. I don’t know what kind of a scam this restaurant is running but this is beyond ridiculous. The people who are running this place are incompetent. I will be disputing this charge with my bank as the website doesn’t seem to communicate with the restaurant. I advise people to find a different Mexican restaurant who have their act together! This is not worth the headache when there are other places around here with equally good food. I would give this place no stars if I could.
After a day of driving, we found this place, near the hotel. The place was busy. Service was good, food was good. Chips were great, thin and crispy. We ordered a margarita's and taco salads. All was reasonably price too. Glad we stopped in!
Fantastic service and delicious food. The waiter had great personality! A perfect mix of checking in on us and letting us enjoy the meal. Best Mexican food I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend the shrimp tacos and special enchiladas.
The food was good and came out quickly. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because once the food came out, I realized I needed sour cream and the server didn't come or look over at my table for so long that the person I was with finished before I could get started. But he was a nice server... if I'm in the area again, I would return.
Food and service is really good. I had shrimp fajitas....delish!
This place is terrible. The staff messed up the order just as all the other reviews say. The food was cold and honestly disgusting. Spent 25$ on terrible terrible food. So much grease. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER eat here. These people who are leaving 5 star reviews are full of s**t
Went there on 3/20/2022 to pick-up a call in order. Took me 10 minutes to get to the restaurant and then I had to wait another 15 minutes to get my food. The signage states "Staff shortage," but the place was fully staff with several servers and hosts. I asked to speak to manager TWICE, when she came out with my food, she was very RUDE and didn't offer an apology for the long delay. I watched as people that came in to eat after me, sat down, got their drinks and then was served their food before mine came out. She only pointed to the time stamp on the receipt, in which, was INCORRECT and walked off. The food was very COLD and rice was over cooked. I would highly recommend for anyone to go to LaPrilla Mexican Restaurant that's about 10 minutes away. Better Food and service. I hope the owners see this post and check the employees' work schedule on 3/20/2022 @ 6pm and find out who was the Manager-on-Duty, she doesn't need to have a management role in their establishment.
Busy but they take very good care of you and service is very good. I had my very first ever Chimichanga and it was so good. Great atmosphere.
