Country cooking. Excellent service. One of those places that everyone ends up knowing you.
one of our favorite places to go! we typically come on Friday nights for Friday fish. blackened tilapia is the best. we also enjoy the shrimp n grits and the low country boil
Outstanding Cleanliness, and all the waitresses are very Friendly and treat you like family, basically its your kitchen table away from home.
There’s never a time that I go to Daddy’s and leave not feeling full and happy. I go here as often as possible, but mostly every Wednesday for their chicken and dumplings. My partner is in LOVE with their potato salad too. The food is almost always fresh and if it’s not then it’s probably about to be because they don’t leave stuff sitting in the bar for long periods without maintaining the freshness. They stay up to standard by supplying gloves and hand sanitizers as well. The food is simple, tasty, fresh, and feels warm just like a southern home cooked meal would. The pineapple cobbler is a MUST TRY! Like, I never thought of making a pineapple cobbler until I tried theirs. It’s so good. I will say depending on who is cooking or prepping changes the way some of the dishes are at time. For instance, the potato salad is sometimes chunkier with more mayo base on some days whereas on others it’s more finely chopped with mustard base. Both are good, but are things my partner and I have noticed about the food. Some days they do shell Mac n cheese bake and others it’s regular macaroni pasta baked. Regardless of how it’s prepared, it still always hits the spot. The staff has always been so nice, helpful, attentive, and good spirited. They care about their customers and regulars dearly. Most of the time this place gets packed for dinner. It’s an older crowd this the restaurant has been around for awhile. I’m in my 20’s and love it though. The pricing is modest and for a small business I’ll gladly pay the extra fee since covid bumped it some. They deserve that.Anyway, summary, the food is fresh and homey. The sweet tea is divine. The staff is fabulous and always has been. And the ambience is quirky and country. 10/10 recommend if you like places where you serve yourself for the most part. You’ll arrive feeling welcome and leave feeling stuffed!
5-4-22 look no further for REAL food famously Southern on a serve yourself bar.Mashed potatoes/gravy, dressing, green beans, fried okra (cooked perfectly), baby limas, potato oh so good salad, chicken/dumplins (not dumplings), fried chicken, and cobbler (fruit varys), and of course sweet tea. I didn't pay any attention to the salad bar ?
Nice comfortable atmosphere. southern cooking. Friendly staff. Great prices.
Definitely better than Golden corral. Sometimes the items on the buffet are quite hot, which concerns me. The folks are friendly!
It was ok most vegetables are straight out of the can. Gravy is from a package. The dressing was good
Good food and friendly service...we love this place. Try the fried chicken!
WOW! We just happened to see this place on the way to Longhorn Steakhouse. We made the right choice in stopping. I am not a buffet kind of person but this was great! The food was as good as my Mother’s cooking. I had Steak & Gravy, Green Beans, Pinto Beans, Mashed Potato’s and Peach Cobbler. If you are ever in this area take the time and stop by here and eat. Great food and fellowship.
