Food fantastic. Our server Fernando, fantastic! However……for dinner when you are spending $50 on certain entrees the decor is terrible! I know it is a hotel restaurant that has to cater to a breakfast, lunch and dinner crowd but seriously…….it needs a facility upgrade. The wooden tables and mismatched chairs are outdated. The high ceiling, bright lights make the atmosphere feel like a cafeteria. Walking in, the waiter, coffee table in front of the kitchen window is an eyesore. Hopefully your new renovation will provide a more better decor atmosphere for your dinner crowd. If not dip into the Rollins College capitol improvement funds and step up your game on this place. If not, visit the Cheesecake Factory in your town and see how a medium price, down and dirty restaurant has a better decor than your place.
This restaurant in the historic Alfond inn is truly a gem. The food selection is great, the portions are big so don't over order. Stephanie who was our waitress was amazing, giving us her excellent recommendations from cocktails to desserts. The service is awesome. And also when you dine there part of the bill pays for the scholarships of Rollins college students! Win win
First time visiting — came on a holiday around 9am. It’s located inside of the inn, towards southwest (i think?) side of the hotel. Once you enter through the hotel’s main doors, turn right and walk all the way down the hall and you’ll end up in the restaurant. It has a quiet, intimate feeling although the restaurant’s combined indoor and outdoor seating is quite spacious. Lila was my server and she is absolutely fantastic — anticipates needs, is attentive, and not overbearing (not checking in too much). I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of eggs. You receive a lot of food and the meals are well-priced. They serve Julius Meinl coffee (Austrian, I believe). Very delicious. I’m glad I finally stopped and came for brunch here.Note: the restaurant did pick up in traffic around 9:30am and it began to be a bit noisy with kids. So, if you prefer a quieter breakfast, you should be okay arriving by 9.
i took my boyfriend here for brunch on his birthday. Eduardo was such a welcoming, attentive, and pleasant server and the food was absolutely amazing. the chef also came out and stopped by all the tables to say hi and make sure everything is good which adds a nice touch that you don’t see happen at many other restaurants anymore. compliments to the chef! the atmosphere of the restaurant inside and outside is beautiful
The food was visually pleasing; the staff was very nice and attentive. The food was alright; they added to many different complex flavors to the point it’s off putting. It’s a beautiful restaurant but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go again.
The restaurant is gorgeous. I did get a little confused when I first arrived. The entrance is on the back side of the building. Once you get in you quickly forget about that hiccup. The dining area is spacious, warm and cozy. The greeters are super nice. My waiter was exceptional. He welcomed us immediately , got our drink orders and answered our long list of menu questions. Now the food: the menu is inexpensive in my opinion. All of the items are fairly priced. The meal portions are big. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffle tasted doughy and super sweet. I could only handle two bites. I enjoyed the chicken though. It was seasoned and fried well. I also had a side of scrambled eggs. I enjoyed them.I gave them four stars because overall the place was pretty decent. I would give them a second chance even though the waffle was not good.
The Chefs Table dinner was phenomenal! We all felt like we were guest judges on TOP CHEF on a night when the judges had trouble picking one chefs dish at elimination. ALL were exceptional! A fun night..the chef - Stephen - was a wonderful host to the five of us- kind, attentive, funny and certainly talented. He prepared an amazing 5 course dinner. Definitely an experience we hope to have again! This was a perfect experience and treat!
Gorgeous place! Love Crab cake and the recommended salad! Absolutely the best meal I’ve ever had traveling in Orlando by far. Worth your money!
I don't know if it's the same staff that cooks for weddings but we attended one there and it included the worse steak ever. Absolutely noone at our table ate theirs. It came with bass and while that was very good - it was cold.
Lovely restaurant in the Alfond Inn in Winter Park. Food was great lunch/brunch fare. Generous portions.
