I debated about posting this but hopefully this gets to the management.I went to this location when it first opened. I was so excited and the food was so delicious. I am on a budget and saving ..decided to splurge today on eating out. I ordered a chicken sandwich meal. I forget the name of it but it came with fries and a drink and an avocado sauce and bacon.I started eating the chicken sandwich and the lettuce seemed to be wet or something watery was dripping from the sandwich down my arm.the sandwich was very wet.it was soggy and the bacon tasted very chewy and old. I opened the sandwich and it looked like it was just thrown together. it tasted like nothing but maybe chicken and bread the tomatoes were green not ripe and hardly any of the sauce was smeared onto the bun. I have definitely tasted better at other lower end food chains. The fries seemed to be at the bottom of the barrel and they were not soft and they were about 2 inches long and seemed to not be fresh. I was so hungry and would’ve returned the meal. Instead I ate it and was so disappointed it did not taste like the first time. It was not a busy time when I ordered. Sadly, I will not ever go back.
There’s a reason this has the worst rating of any restaurant in the area! This food was so bad. We went for breakfast and everything was so bland. The coffee was absolutely disgusting and so overly acidic. That tater tots literally had no taste, and not a spec of salt. The burrito was so boring and bland. You could not pay me to come back. What a waste of money.
I think it was really good, but for me the thing that carried it were the sauces. The chicken was nice and light but tasty, overall just a cleaner tasting chicken tenders/sandwich place. A bunch of my friends ordered a lot of extra sauces so it was pretty nice trying a lot of them. My favorite ones was the bourbon bbq, curry mayo (literally just mayo and curry wowowoww) the peri peri, and the teriyaki (it was more like a glaze than a sauce). I think the worse flavor was the avocado crema, it either tasted like the avocados were out too long or spoiled, very oily and gross. Thankfully that didn't matter because we had so many other sauces. The bbq sandwich was stacked and very sweet, which I liked a lot. The fries were actually kinda meh, not stale or anything but even seasoned they tasted sorta bland and unappetizing to me, maybe would order the loaded fries instead next time? I def would wanna go again with friends and try their other options.
The girl who worked the delivery of food to the tables was personable and enhanced our first experience with Chicken Guy.Grilled tenders were difficult to slide off the skewers. 3 were very small, one was full length of skewer. All were much smaller than the breaded order within my table.Fries were seasoned just right. Amazing flavor.Teriyaki sauce is exceptional. The Brown sugar bbq sauce is really good. The Nashville hot was too sweet.
This is the type of place you need to study the menu beforehand for. Eating in was underwhelming. The menu is huge but only available to see at the register in tiny font. It should really be on the wall to view while waiting in line. No complaints about customer service. They're just some high school kids who are doing their best. For the quality, it's expensive to buy any combo. My tenders were oddly flat and overcooked. They served a lot of fries, but they got cold fast and only tasted okay. They're like any other frozen fries just better seasoned. If you're just getting a chicken sandwich I suppose it's a good place to go. The Southwest one was good. I don't think we'll be coming back though.
Honestly, expectations were high based on the volume of people I’d seen at the location, however, it didn’t meet those expectations for me. I had got the southwestern burger (had ordered grilled chicken but was given fried, not the end of the world) but I was underwhelmed by the chicken cutlets. I think the chicken itself was quality, but the seasoning was bland, and the thin pounded cutlets weren’t my favorite style. The whole burger tasted like a sad salad with two random pieces of bread on it. The sauces (which I feel is their claims to fame) were decent but I didn’t find them to be overly unique.Fried pickles - first time I’ve ever eaten a fried pickle and gone “meh”. Usually love fried pickles, but these were over-battered and soggy. The ranch that comes with it is amazing though.Grilled chicken salad - actually pretty good. I’d come back for the salads, and I enjoyed the grilled chicken tenders much more than the fried cutlets.Apple cinnamon cereal shake - it’s the best thing we had of what we ordered. Tastes just like Apple Jacks blended into heavy cream, but doesn’t have that fake candy flavor. Very indulgent but quite delicious.Overall, I would much rather choose the adjacent Chick-fil-A or PDQ for nuggets and tenders, and would choose the nearby Popeyes for a chicken sandwich over Chicken Guy.
Surprised about the low rating, everything we had was well executed with quick turnaround. This location runs smoothly, if the wait is a concern come early in the day for low lines.
FLAVORTOWN for sure!! Around 1 pm we went inside and had no wait, quick service, and a tasty meal!! Apple Cinnamon cereal milkshake is to die for. Everything else was very delicious, with so many yummy sauce options it was hard to pick just two!!A lot of the negative reviews on here could be avoided if people just took 5 seconds to look at the menu in advance. Yes, the tenders are flatter than what a typical restaurant serves but they’re 1000% better in my opinion. Crispy, well seasoned, and made with nothing but the highest quality ingredients. Will definitely be coming here again!
The chicken strips are delicious. Finding the right dipping sauce just takes it to another level. Highly recommend the Cumin Lime Mojo! The parm/garlic sauce was surprisingly tasteless. The mint chocolate and Apple Cereal milkshakes were delicious. Service was atrocious. Set your expectations low, this is just the season we are in. Our shakes took 30 minutes and us to track down through three people. We were handed completely melted shakes and the worker didn't know what to do when we said we were taking them. We had to ask for a manager who was amazing. She made our shakes over, larger and even comped our order to make it right. We will probably stick to the drive thru next time.
The chicken nuggets were flat like a tiny catfish filet smashed to smitherins. The fries have so much seasonings on them i immediately had to reach for a napkin to blow my nose, the residue left on my fingers made me wish I had parked next to a fire hydrant to wash my hands when I was finished trying to dip them into some ranch concoction made from Mars. I was super amazed my co workers didn’t send me home immediately thinking I was sick from all the sneezing and coughing while trying to not choke on my food. We all tried it once now crossed it off the list, as I drive past to old faithful one block to Chick-fil-A I think to them people in line just ask for extra napkins your gonna need ‘em brother, I will pray for you.
