My husband and I went to Nutwood and it was great! The food was exceptional as well as the service by Beth.

Nutwood is our go to restaurant. The ambiance, the food and the staff is absolutely perfect. We have been going there for simple dinners for two to family gathering for years and every time is great. Chef knows what he’s doing!!

From start to finish my meal was exceptional! ! Terry was the host with the most. Very welcoming and accommodating. Beth our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She was very attentive to our needs. The blueberry, ricotta toast and Watermelon salad was refreshing to the pallet. I ordered the braised short rib which melted in my mouth, accompanied with the creamiest potatoes, it was so delicious. My friend order the 8oz steak and it was cooked to perfection. The meal ended on a high note with a deconstructed tiramisu, accompanied with sake. An unforgettable combination. A personal visit from the Chef to our table was over the top! If you are looking for a local unique dining experience, I highly recommended the NutWood.

Excellent early Mother’s Day treat for me. Service was excellent. Especially loved that all entrees arrived at the same time and perfectly prepared. No complaints at all about the food. The ricotta gnudi was great. My companions’ dishes, braised short ribs and a grouper entree looked impeccable. We chose outdoor dining and the weather turned a bit windy and cloudy on us. Not their fault but the small patio table almost took off with the umbrella. Next time I would choose inside. Street noise was a bit loud at times. None of that took away from the food. Highly recommend and worth the $$$.
This was my first visit... let me tell you... we are lucky to have restaurant of this quality here in Winter Haven. The "green eggs and ham" where to die for. The steak was so tender I think you could cut it with a fork. The bread pudding was fantastic! The wine, and the espresso where excellent. This is a great place to reward your taste buds and heart. I highly recommend reservations!
I had high hopes for this restaurant was very disappointed. We went about 12:30 and there was a wait. Only 1 waitress working. She was great and very friendly. We ordered 4 pimento burgers, 2 well done that were still raw inside. Sent them back to be cooked. They came back missing most of the cheese and no sauce on it that we were told came on it. I ordered the homemade chips but tasted stale. Very pricey at $18. We won't be back.
