Went back to try this place after they changed the name. I was pleasantly surprised to see the old owners still running the place! Great service, friendly and helpful staff and the food was amazing just like I remembered!If you’re looking for a quick, delicious bite to eat definitely don’t pass up this hidden gem
Dear future Amy,No matter how lazy you are feeling... do NOT stop here. Continue to drive by this place on your way to stoneybrook China wok. It's so tempting to try it again about once a year when you don't want to go around the block in rush hour traffic. Don't do it. You have never thrown out Chinese food before. You always throw out something from this place. Always. Even their dumpling sauce is awful. How can a place get soy sauce so wrong. Their sushi is terrible. It's so tempting to get Thai because there's no place around here. Stop. It's terrible. The tastes are nothing like Thai. And nothing like any Chinese you like. They have a new name. Tempting. Ordered Thai basil chicken and Thai basil shrimp, very disappointing, actually could not finish the meal. Everything was done in a brown sauce that tasted burnt, when I called and asked about this they said this is how they’ve been doing it for 10 years. We actually had to rinse the sauce off The dish and completely remake it so we could at least salvage some of the meal.
We’ve been eating Tao Asian for several years, and they have always been good and consistent. We enjoy their food and will continue to order our Chinese style takeout/delivery from them.Today’s order was orange chicken and bourbon chicken- very tasty. We order delivery directly from the restaurant, as we are within their delivery radius, and we received our food before the original estimated time, hot and fresh!
I paid $15.00 for a noodle dish with shrimp. I received 7!! Tiny little shrimp submerged in a soup style sauce with hardly any vegetables and a lump of noodles. Disgusting. Our other 3 dishes were equally bad. With the food items just seem to have been thrown together rather than cooked. Never again! Our 3rd and last attempt to eat there. It seems that by only having take out now, they don’t care what they are preparing. On top of it … it is expensive. Sorry …., avoid this place until they fix their food preparation
I spent about $40 on food from here. Worst mistake I could’ve made. The food was absolutely horrible. I took about two bites of the “Honey Chicken”, “Shrimp Lo Mein”, “Chicken Fried rice”, and the “Fries chicken wings”. I ended up throwing the whole order out after that. I feel sick to my stomach. Won’t make this mistake ever again.
Very good service and food. Had a pretty large order that I had delivered and everything was correct and came in a timely manner. I called twice and both times they were very kind and informative about my order. Will order from Tao asian again.
So, I'm not a harsh food critic and I rarely write reviews. But I've ordered Doordash from here twice. The first time around I ordered two different sushi rolls. The shrimp tempura roll was so dry and tasteless that I literally tossed it. The other was okay. This time around (and the reason I'm writing a review to begin with) was so bad. The sushi was dry and tasteless again, and so was the chicken lo mein. The miso soup was the only good thing. I'll be ordering from other Asian restaurants from here on out.
I ordered here to try a different place out but I will stick to my known other favorite places. The food was mediocre at best. The tempura bento box was not even tempura batter it was thick and grainy. The salad dressing had a weird flavor to it and the sushi was soggy by the time I got it home which is only about 10 mins.
We use to LOVE this place..at least 1 or 2 times a week but we noticed the fish to rice was way off.. I asked the owner about it several times and it never went back to when we first fell in love with this place. Its good just over priced for sushi.
