Billed as the "Best Fried Chicken in the World". Chicken crust was tasty but it was overdone, the meat underneath was tough. Some of the best coleslaw I have ever had anywhere, though.
I read the last reviews posted before calling in my order. I should have listened to people about the salty chicken. As a matter of fact, when I called to place my order I asked the girl who answered if their chicken was always prepared to be on the salty side and her words literally were " the chicken is not salty today" Guess What? It definitely was. I couldn't finish my dinner . The coleslaw was so saugy. It had wayyy too much mayo. I had to scoop out the excess mayo since it want stirred well. I know their coleslaw could be better. I've ordered it from the Leesburg locationand it was crunch and delish.. I'm never ordering from this place again. I hope they'd listen to the dissatisfied customers..They're food could be so much better if they care a bit more.
This was my first and last visit. I went in around. 11:15 so they had not been open long. The service was fine and quick, I was excited to try the chicken, the collard greens and the Mac and cheese.First the chicken- the portions were large which would have been good if the food was palatable. Sadly the chicken was terrible- overcooked, in old oil (you can tell), and was very salty. Couldn’t hardly eat it as it was so tough.I had asked for ranch sauce and I got about a tablespoon of sauce in a plastic container. It tasted good but would not have been enough for one tender much less three.The collards, they tasted ok, the serving size was very small. I wouldn’t eat it again.The Mac and cheese- just not good, not real cheese, packaged cheese sauce and bland.The sweet tea was so sweet I had to water it down- I am southern, I drink sweet tea, there was double the sugar than should have been in there.The roll was hard and stale.I was by myself, my meal was 15 and I gave them a tip! $18 later and I threw it out.So disappointed as there is nowhere to get good soul food.
I drove from Orlando to this location and arrived 10 mins before closing. A fresh batch of chicken had just came up and sides were fresh as well. I truly appreciate the two closers that were able to assist tonight. Thank you so much! It was most definitely worth the drive.
My husband and I live in 4 corners And we take the drive and get takeout! The chicken tastes like the broasted chicken we would get in Chicago! VERY crunchy! My favorite are the chicken livers! What a treat!
The most freaking amazing chicken I've had in this flavorless town; every piece was juicy AF, the Cole slaw was so creamy and yummy that took me back home. Not fancy at all, but no other place has left me licking my fingers and peeling out the bones like here in a long time.Totally recommend.
Where do I Start..no wings so we got 2 breast which I have to say was good fresh and hot..staff was my mayor complaint. A very loud girl you can hear thru out the entire restaurant..we order fries and received them after we finish eating. They claim they had only 1 fryer. Appearance was horrible! Dirty uniform just didn't look like a clean environment. First time here and last..It's a shame cause the chicken was good.
5 star place I was really good me and my family loved it, it was amazing had good service to there I was just amazing five stars.
**Ordered 3 pc chicken dinner. It was good. Coleslaw was too mushy.**Ordered 3 pc Chicken Tenders ... Very dry...and couldn't even eat them. Coleslaw too mushy. Macaroni & Cheese was good.**One Employee very loud and never stopped talking our entire meal.**Sorry, was disappointed .. Would not return.
I guess this chain of restaurants varies by location. We've eaten from the one in Beaufort SC before and it was very good. The chicken from here (Winter Garden)was freshly prepared, but very salty. I ordered a small side of livers and they were good. The cole slaw was very soupy (wet) and not to our liking. The fries were ok. Based on the saltiness of the chicken, we would not order from here again.
