This is a review for the Longboard Bar & Grill that is located poolside at the main pool and water park area in The Grove Resort and Spa.We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was attentive and prompt.Family of four had lunch on two days during our stay and it was nice to have the option of fresh food poolside or a short walk to the shaded outdoor dining area. We opted for the latter due to the heat and it was a welcomed break from the sun.Our lunches included the pulled pork nachos which were loaded with fresh pulled pork and cheese on top of tri-colored chips. They also provide sour cream on the side. The pulled pork was very tasty and the portion generous. Same goes for the cheese sauce. We also had chicken tenders, fry basket and garlic Parmesan wings which were smoked then flash fried to seal in the juiciness and smoke flavor. Everything was delicious and well portioned.The menu also had burgers, brisket sliders, carnitas tacos, salads and other easy to eat offerings convenient for poolside snacking.It’s not cheap, but it’s convenient and really tasty so the few extra dollars make it worthwhile since you don’t have to interrupt your poolside activities to search for food.We also had some drinks which were good and fairly priced. The “Beach Break” was a pale full of tropical flavors and plenty of rum to help make your day that much better. Similarly, the Pińa Colada was tasty and strong enough to change your mood for the better.There were plenty of poolside wait staff and the food and drink came out quickly.I would recommend this for anyone staying at the resort who wants to take it all in away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando and the Parks.
I've stayed at this resort a few times over the past couple of years. It changed management companies in late 2019 or early 2020. It felt the same to be honest. My family and I stayed there four weeks ago and enjoyed the Waterpark very much. Longboard definitely had our business and we enjoyed the food and drinks. This past week we stayed again. Something has changed, since the last time we stayed there. You could tell the employees were basically doing whatever they wanted to do and we saw our server maybe 3 times the entire day. I asked one of the servers what was going on, and her reply "our manager quit because this place is crazy". I did get to speak to Jessica. I am assuming she is the interim manager.... she was drunk. From the smell to the look in her eyes, I knew she was intoxicated. It's sad to see such an awesome place being ran into the ground. If this is how the new management company works, to the owners, I would relinquish my relationship with them and move on to a new company. You, the owners, are not being protected.
We stayed here a couple of years ago and ate and drank at the Longboard several times. Portions are decent and food and drinks are GREAT. We are coming back here again next month as you can't beat the Grove! You have to ride the Flowmaster while your there also! Super fun and epic times here!
Me and my family went in 2018 and the food was amazing … Totally recommend this place.
