Mediocre food and self serve. No place I’d hurry back to
My pizza took so long it wasn’t funny and it was mediocre… Her chicken meal was excellent but the asparagus was not to her but seemed ok to me.
My sister and I decided to have dinner at Cariera’s Italian Eatery last Friday while visiting Winter Garden, Fl. The restaurant was completely full of happy patrons. The atmosphere is casual dining. We had to wait to be seated and through some miscommunication, we didn’t understand the ordering protocol. We were seated and waited at least 40 minutes for our order to be taken. When we finally asked why it was taking so long, we were told that WE needed to place our order at the register after being seated and perusing their menu. My sister went to the register to place our order and in less than 5 minutes, the owner, Tommy, brought 2 plates of food to our table. He said no one goes hungry in his restaurant and was sorry for the confusion, dinner was complimentary., We have never been treated with such excellent customer service. Now to discuss the food. Wow! This was surely two of the best plates of Italian cuisine I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned chicken piccata plus a dish of chicken Alfredo and 4 fresh-baked garlicy crusty dinner rolls. Yum! Thank you owner, Tommy, for a great meal and a great memory!
So glad someone recommended this hidden gem. This food was delicious and the kids meals were the highest quality I’ve seen! The Mac and cheese was real pasta and cheese. The owners and servers are so kind and I cannot wait to come back again. I recommend the vodka pasta with shrimp.
Besides my dinner being completely forgotten and not served until we asked why it was missing….? this was a fun restaurant. I would consider it a little gem. I really enjoyed the decorations and ambience. They had a live stream of Venice on the TV screens and good music playing. I would give this restaurant 5 stars but like I mentioned my dinner was forgotten about so I knocked off a star for that. The chef did come out and apologize, explaining he thought orders were done and had already sent home his kitchen staff. But the chef did come through, even sat down to chat and laugh with us for a few minutes after bringing out the food. Seemed authentic and a good place to be. I was thankful they had gluten free pasta! Thank you for accommodating a gluten allergy!
Phenomenal meal and service! The chicken parmesan and fettuccine Alfredo is one of the best in central Florida! I am so glad I stopped!
The staff is amazing. Really attentive and friendly. Love that they wiped down the tables and chairs after guest were done eating. Love that they replaced the white butcher paper after each guest as well. Now… to the food… A-MAZ-ING. I went to Italy about six years ago and have not eaten Olive Garden since and I am glad to say I found Italy in Winter Garden. My salad was fresh and filling (got the half) I ordered the lasagna (1/2) and it was so filling. The owner was very pleasant and approachable. All in all, a great experience.
Delicious food, very tasty meals. Never mind that you order at the counter. This is a wonderful place for a pleasant, well made meal. Desserts are great too. Love the atmosphere, the live videos of Italy, and the Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin music. The staff are great too.
we tried this place and i can tell you we won't be back first you have to pay for what you want to eat then they want you to add the tip for the service first before you get the service and the meal was expensive also we had spaghetti and meat balls and they give you a hard roll and 2 drinks and they never came back and asked how we were doing and they charged almost $39.00 for this well we can go to olive garden and get the same meal plus all the salad and bread sticks you want for a total of $34.00 so in my eyes olive garden is a better meal and it even taste better and the service is better too.
Out first time here for dinner. The food was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Female cashier was welcoming and very knowledgeable of the menu! We had already decided we would return in the future, but we were more impressed with what happened right before we left. The restaurant was busy and we saw one of the owner’s arrive. We observed him immediately go to the waitstaff, thank them for being there and asked how he could help. They indicated they need help bussing tables which he started on right away. In this environment of labor shortages and staff not always being appreciated, we were pleased to see leadership helping out. This made us even more focused on supporting this business in the future.
