I travel for work and dine out a minimal of twice per day, five days a week, that’s an average of forty meals plus per month.I can’t remember the last time I endured such a horrible dinning experience.I started off by asking about double shrimp which was advertised on the large outdoor sign, not one employee knew what I was talking about, including the assistant Manager and Manager.I said never mind and just ordered the fried fish, extra crispy fries and coleslaw, I also opted for breadsticks in lieu of hushpuppies.I’m told to take a seat and our orders will be brought to our table. They are out of plates. The fish was chewy and taste like chicken, the fries were barely cooked and I received hush puppies instead of breadsticks.I’m in town for several more days but will definitely not be returning to this location.Bathrooms were disgusting!!!!!
Unbelievable wait times at drive-thru. Over the past two weeks, every time I've ordered through the drive-thru, I've had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. Twice I've had to wait more than 15-minutes. They never ask people to drive to the parking lot to await their orders to make room for other vehicles. Instead, they just leave cars at the window for as long as it takes (again, even if it takes 5-minutes or more) despite the line of cars reaching around the building. Really a terribly mismanaged location!!!
There service was bad at the Winter Garden restaurant’Order fried okra and one piece fish and shrimp fish was chicken instead of fish . Second order was two piece fish and fries came with one fish and one chicken. Guess they can’t tell the difference between fish and chicken in this restaurant. I watched another customer take hers back two times and it was still chicken and not fish . Won’t be going there anymore.
The food was ok nothing to be excited about but for the price there portions should be alot bigger. When ordering the catfish dinner they served me small pieces of catfish and sides were small also my bill for 2 people was $28.47 we should have gotten a good bit of food for that price. A little disappointed they have changed alot from years ago.
Used to be my favorite one. Nasty attitude, checking phone while taking my order. Messing everything up. Food fresh. Took forever. Won’t be returning
Always enjoy a meal at Captain D's.Had the deluxe seafood platter and tried the gumbo for the first time.Food was hot and well seasoned with generous portions.Recommend.?⚓
Last straw with this restaurant!!!! Ordered 4pc fish meal via Door dash, with fries, green beans and hush puppies and THREW ENTIRE PLATE AWAY! Upon receiving it I noticed only 2 sauces for 4 pieces of fish... I'm working on nursing stuff from home now after 6p & I live 2 mins away so I drive up there. Doors locked at 720p, drive thru wrapped almost in street off of 50 and NO EMPLOYEES IN SITE! I knocked on front door and a random kid walks to window saying he doesn't work there but is sitting in lobby. He proceeded to go behind counter and bring me tartar sauces but I returned home, opened plate and fish was brown, soaked in grease that smelled burned & same for hush puppies but they were soggy, as were the green beans and fries...I got 5 fries as a side that were, SOGGY!! ENTIRE MEAL IN GARBAGE!! It has gotten worse in the past 4 months and quality has decreased tremendously in the food and employees. Customer service is not in that building unfortunately.
The food was ready really quick. They now have my favorite hushpuppies; their Mac and cheese is as good or better than chick FIL A's and Popeyes. Any fried fish here was really moist and tender, well done.
Great seafood at a reasonable price. We’re longtime fans of Captain D’s anyway, but this is one of the better-run locations these days IMHO.Friendly service, and even with all the options they get the details right. I love the blackened fish and shrimp, and the fried okra is great!
Drive thru is always slow and good customer service is a 50/50 coin flip. Half of the workers don't even greet you, take your money and give you your food without even acknowledging you.
