Went for lunch on Monday memorial day right when they first opened. We got seated and our order was took quickly. We ordered waters, a coke, and crab angels (crab rangoons - lot of crab. Little cream cheese). Most of the hibachi was about $16-22 each for lunch. This includes soup then your hibachi is your meat, rice, onions, and zucchinis. We liked this because we hate carrots. Our chef was entertaining but also very quick and food was done perfectly. Sometimes hibachi can be hit or miss but this was great. Would recommend.
We booked a table for 4 at 7.30. We arrived in time and were told to wait at the bar. 35 minutes later they were still waiting for a table to clear. No explanation or apology. We walked out. It is jammed with people on a production line. A zoo not a restaurant. Avoid.
When table turnover is perfected and food is prepared well, nothing beats Japanese steak house. Filet mignon at 33$, scallops at 29$, chicken 24$, with abundant sides. Strict on kids meals so under 10 years old only. 15 percent automatically billed. Reservation strongly recommended. Birthday appreciation ice cream and song. No mask required.
Service is terrible. Our chef was rude and totally ignored my daughter who was there to celebrate her birthday. He refused to even say happy birthday to her, while the other chefs were transforming their cooking into a party for the birthday people at their table. The waitress was also not helpful in accommodating special orders, I had to go to the manager to be able to order it. Very upsetting.
From start to finish I believe it took us almost 3 hours waiting in line and getting our food. Once he actually started cooking our food, it probably didn't take any more than half an hour to eat and cook the food. It took forever to get our waiter to even bring us drinks and a cook to show up, they said they were short-staffed, and it was packed, every seat filled. The food was fine, plenty of it, not the best Japanese steakhouse food I've ever had but then again not the worst. Two companions had the regular steak and the fillet and said it was very tender and the fat was cut off of it. My salmon was fairly large and tasty, rice and vegetables pretty bland.
Service (Tyler) was great! He gets 5 stars. They were out of a ton of different wines (though poor Tyler ran circles trying to figure one out for me, by the third attempt I just ordered a mixed drink).Ordered steamed gyoza, came out fried, okay no big deal. It was definitely on the small side, but it was decent.Entrees- We both got hibachi steak (not at a hibachi table though- covid, so we opted to sit at a regular table and it came from the kitchen), both ordered medium rare, and both came out well done. For the price (not exorbitant, but we spent just over $100 for 2 people) it wasn't worth it.It's a shame, the restaurant is so close, but we won't be back again.
Tried the hibachi at this restaurant. Excellent wait staff. Party of nine seated right away with reservation. Betty, our waitress was great. The hibachi cook was funny and did a few tricks. The food was very good. This place is better than Benihana and Blue Ginger in Miramar in my Opinion. Will come back again.
Japan Inn is one of my favorite restaurants whenever I am in Weston. The food is very good, the service is very good as is the outside eating area. This meal was especially good because of the server Anthony. Even though it was a very busy night inside and for take-out orders, Anthony made sure that his outside customers were very well served. Thanks Anthony!!!
Awesome dinner, great place
The only hibachi we go to. We always take the kids here for lunch it's their favorite. The food is delicious and portions are huge. Service is great and everyone is nice. We like lunch time better bc it's cheaper and you get the same amount of food compare to dinner.
