Extremely disappointed!!! I have been eating Russos for over 40 YEARS and not sure why my tuna sub hardly has ANY tuna on it???? Looks as if I paid for $1.50 worth of tuna for an almost $8.00 price!!!! And hardly any lettuce on it either. Need to raise your quantity of standards. I don’t mind paying $8 for a sub if I get more than just an empty sub roll.So so disappointing……the pic attached says it all!If I could have given them 0 stars, I would.
I went to the drive thru today because apparently the lobby is closed due to staff shortage which was my first issue. Secondly they put very little veggies on sandwich. And finally once I got home to eat sandwich, it looked very small. I ordered a large 12” and when I measured the sandwich in my possession it was 9”. Now mind you I stood in drive a bit longer to ask about the veggies and why it was poorly presented , and still no one brought up the fact why my order was not correct. I called before eating the sandwich and spoke with Dodson (manager) and apparently the restaurant knew that they were out of large size breads well befor I got there. So many other people have been victimized at this point. I’m happy that I’m observing to notice the differences. Is this fraud happening right before our eyes, like the pandemic was not hardship enough for customers and people in general. What should be the next step.. call corporate office to report or are they behind this scam too?
The Russo was delicious as usual. My grandson got a meatball sub and it was delicious as well...definitely not stingy on the meatballs.
It was after 5 p.m. and traffic on Military Train was heavy. It was our first time going to the Russo Sub Shop, and we were on the wrong side of the 'trail'. We made a U-turn but somehow overshot the Russo emporium. Facing near starvation, we parked our car and walked to the sub shop. Inside seating was closed, so we walked up to the drive-thru window and explained we did not have a car and asked if we could still order. Speaking for the three of us, I explained that I am a Russo, but not one of the owners. The lady taking orders did not believe my credentials but said we could order. We selected our subs and a couple soft drinks. When the lady ran my card and looked at my name she was surprised, and said, 'you really are a Russo!'. I told her that I'd never lie about a thing like that! The subs were great. The Russo roll was soft and sweet, all ingredients were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place - even if you are not a Russo.
Incredible disappointed that Russo's no longer uses its own roll. The taste of the sandwich has been affected dramatically in a very negative way. After five decades of my going there it has lost that special taste I once knew. The Russo Roll is what makes the sandwich and it cannot be changed! Please bring it back before your loyal patrons are all lost forever.
Wow best juiciest meatball sub i have ever had in my LIFE ITS A MUST TRY OR HAVE !!! Thanks you guys when around 12pm today there was a line and moved pretty fast but oh god was it well worth !!
Well ......the selection is small. The sandwich has very little meat. Maybe 4oz. Service was fast but the sandwich doesn't make the grade. It's okay..... nothing more.
I grew up on Russo's. They are imo the BEST sub place around. They are still an awesome value for the price and quality and flavor has never wavered over the years.
Has some really good sandwiches there but definitely drive-through people have some major attitude problems!
