Yes this looks nothing like the pictures in the commercial come on Pollo tropic Cal you can do better than this!!!!!!
Just visit this location after a while, we was exited for the new items on a menu to our surprise they didn't have the new Cuban sandwiches to start. We order our meal half chicken with the sides and we request larger portions of rice an beans with the meal of course we expect to pay and extra but the cashier can't understand our order little difficult on her English for one and we did have to order and extra order large of rice and beans and she keep asking if we want our chicken well done what we respond no really, love my chicken juicy, I order a tostones with pork, big mistake I can't take the oily rancid flavor out of my mouth, soggy plantains on oil didn't cook at 350 degree oil probably or they cook to much at the same time and plantains absorb the oil, really bad I took picture of oil on the bottom on plate they serve it and they topped with a garlicky white sauce that break and add more oil to the dish, open our boxes and found that our chicken was extremely well and completely dry, o assume the amount of chicken they cooking is to much and they pile on top of the grill nd keep drying out. Should be more attention from kitchen manager or store manager I attach receipt number 505983 Employee 436162 dont think her fault was in this but should training will go along well I recommend if plantains will be soggy like that should be off the menu, at the time of carry out was no busy the store should be more care for service and execution of the food thanks
If you place an order online at their cellphone app. be prepared to wait for your order, it won't be prepared until your pickup time. If there's a line at the counter, your order is placed at the bottom. Also at the store when I went to pickup my meal (after paying in advance) at that moment, they told me they were out of the steak (which I paid extra for). The mgr. told me to call for a refund.
We visited that place several time, today we ordered the new churrasco tropichop with rice and black beans, but the advertising tropishop It was far from what we received, almost empty and only 5 small portions of churrasco, honestly we are Disgusted and frustrated, the fish one is the advertising tropichop, the other pictures was we received, Compare and draw your own conclusions, definitely I’m not recommended that restaurant.
Very good Cuban food, very inexpensive. Good for a fast food restaurant. Nice black beans and rice with fried bananas
This was my first trip to a Pollo Tropical and didn’t know what to expect. The outside of this restaurant offered plenty of parking and the building was nicely maintained. The first thing I noticed upon entering was that it is not cozy or warm. It had more of a cafeteria atmosphere. It was busy and noisy inside. The menu has quite a few nice choices for a fast food place that deals mainly in chicken. I opted for the 1/4 chicken with black beans and rice and a side of corn nuggets. The couple I was with ordered the whole chicken to share amongst themselves. The meal came with a dinner roll, but no butter or margarine was supplied. I went over to the soda fountain and noted that it looked as if it had not been addressed for some time. They offer a nice selection of sauces and even sliced pickled jalapeños. The condiment bar was messy with sauces all over the top and all over the handles. A lot of that seemed to be caused by unsupervised children playing around with the sauces. The food to a long, long time before it was ready. When it finally did come, the portions of beans and rice were large. The 1/4 chicken consisted of a a leg quarter. Not very large but the seasoning was good and the chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. All and all a decent value. I will say the garlic and cilantro sauce was delicious! Management at this facility needs to improve upon much more attention to the soda fountain, condiment table, and wait time on food delivery. I will try another Apollo Tropical and hopefully find a better situation.
We have been there many times but never felt clean in fact sometimes the tables and floors were just dirty, wires hanging from walls, wet floors and nasty condiment table. Additionally the chicken is not as tasty as it used to be, feels like it has been boiled or something.
My friend ordered a bowl with chicken and toppings, and I ordered chicken nuggets. I enjoyed trying the various sauces for dipping. Service was quick, and the place was reasonably clean for a fast-casual establishment. It was my first time visiting a Pollo Tropical, and I can see why people enjoy it.
