Outstanding steak and sea bass. Perfect service. WAs a wonderful Place to celebrate a birthday
If Google allowed more than 5 stars than Okeechobee Steak House would certainly deserve it. It being the oldest steakhouse in Florida we had to give it a try. And I have to say it was well worth it. We tried escargot and filled mushroom caps as an appetizer. Just excellent! As a main entree we had the Filet Mignon with a shrimp on top and Sauce Bernaise medium rare. And it truly was medium rare. The meat was so tender, it melted while being consumed! The Filet was accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and a house salad with Greek vinaigrette. Just superb ? As a dessert we shared the key lime pie which was big enough for two. We will definitely be back!
Best steaks we’ve had in a long, long time. We celebrated our 33rd Anniversary and loved the food, we’ll be back for our 34th for sure!
Wonderful service and food!
Had an amazing dinner here last night! Best steakhouse in S FL by far. We got the house salad with blue cheese dressing, Kansas City sirloins, brussel sprouts, baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, and the peanut butter pie. I like rare steaks with a heavy char for a crispy bite, and they delivered! Service was impeccable and I was impressed with the steak and dessert tray they bring around to show you your options. Old school vibe but so, so delicious.
Wanted to try out the oldest steakhouse in Florida. The atmosphere was awesome with a great little bar area. Your choice of steaks are very nice and they are all dry aged. On this particular night, we had an amazing server, India. She made our visit as good as it could be. We really enjoyed her service. Got the Tomahawk. Asked for it medium rare with a good char on the outside. Was absolutely cooked to perfection. Taste was spectacular! Very satisfied. Of course this is a high end restaurant, so expect to pay for the elegant service, great decor and fine dining. It’s worth it if you have it. Come out and support your local businesses and avoid chains!
Great place for special occasions too. Cory our waiter made my sons birthday lunch Extra special. Food was great. I asked for candle for my son’s dessert since it was his birthday and they took 49.99 off bill for reward customer and his birthday. Again more food than I could eat and brought home leftovers for another meal. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend this restaurant. Even the. A Manger came over to see how our meal was.
This kitchen has no idea what they are doing. The steaks were overcooked. They have no idea what rare means. The fish was dried out. The fries were cut to various sizes so that they could not be cooked evenly.........even amateurs do better. This is an american restaurant that has no interest in quality. It speaks poorly of native tastes in cuisine when they overcharge for such terribly prepared food. It means the clients are ignorant of fine food........it does not exist at this place.
Absolutely the best dining experience we've had in a long time. Fabulous food, and John, our waiter was perfect. Pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. I wish I could go weekly.
I've never met nicer servers and bartenders. The manager was superb and went out of her way. The Irish coffees were good, and the Oysters Rockefeller hit the spot. They were prepared differently than I've ever had but still good. It is decorated beautifully! Don't sleep on this restaurant because of the location, it's a winner!
