Arrived to Leo’s “Crab Shack” on May 5th and ordered a half pound snow crab / shrimp. When checking my plate AT THE RESTAURANT I noticed crab was broken open and missing meat. Not Only That But The Shrimp Was So Under Cook You Could Mush Straight Through It. When going back inside I showed the employee requesting it be remade where he mentions “call the owner it’s nothing I can do”.After calling Leo May 6th 3:23 He Proceeds To Make Excuses and Try To Make WRONG RIGHT. Instead of Handling Business Leo Proceeds To say “ Crabs Come Like That “ And Begins To Get Disrespectful as you can see he has in other reviews !If Crabs Come like that DONT SELL THEM FOR $30 ! Customer Service From Owner -10/10! (THEN HE HANGS UP)In Business We Don’t Make Excuses But We Make Solutions. Nor Do We Justify Bad Food !I REMEMBER YOU WERE ON BELVEDERE IN THE LITTLE SMALL SHACK GUESS MONEY CHANGES PEOPLE !If Are Looking For Good Crab Plates Where You Will Receive FULL PRICE QUALITY ! Super quaint picnic style seafood joint. So many fresh out of the ocean options, we ordered the shrimp tray with Dungeness crab and what a great choice! So glad we stopped in on our trip! My hubs is in love with crab ? and we scoured the internet for a small gem. Most importantly the one man show behind the counter was extremely polite, helpful, courteous and just an absolute Rockstar at giving us ideas on what was good, and he cooked it himself too! I wish we caught his name to mention it here.
There are very few places that have blown me away in my travels around the world. This nonchalant crab shack is one of them. Don't be fooled by its appearance as it is far surpassed in the quality and freshness of its delicious crabs and shrimps. This is not a place for everyone, don't expect to get table service. You go, pick your seafood of choice (4 plates in our case), out of a Door/window service and you will get your name called when the food is ready. This is "a picnic style on a bench" kind of a meal, except you will be served some of the best blue crab, stone crab, king crab, prawns and crawfish you will ever have. Note to the owner: giving out some gloves for the meal would be used full:) enjoy!!!
This man has some of the best seafood I've ever tasted. You won't go wrong when you go here. Every time I'm in this area I will be stopping by. Leo thank you for the good food and introducing me and my husband to something new. Which by the way was excellent!!!!! ???
We happen to find this place by accidently and it was the best accident ever! Leo the owner was awesome he was very nice and friendly not to mention that the food was AMAZING!!! We had the fried blue crab and fried shrimp with Leo's homemade seasoning. It was fresh and delicious definitely a two thumbs up. Since we are visiting from Texas we won't have another chance to make it back but it will definitely be a spot to return to in the future. It was a excellent experience. I'm was there visiting from Texas and wanted some seafood. Leo I assume he was so nice. I had to use the bathroom so I asked him where the closet restroom was and he let me use the one there. The food was so good and delicious and he even gave us a little extra. I would definitely recommend eating there.
Delicious lunch after the beach. Fresh conch fritters, $4 beers. Zero regrets.
While eating I was licking fingers. But it caught up with me because I got sick afterwards. It was my first time there. There was a long line so I figured the locals must know something I didn't lol. If I didn't get sick it would've been a great experience. I say go with caution. You could have a different experience.
If you’re looking for an authentic crab shack experience, head down to Leo’s in West Palm Beach. The service was speedy, and best of all, it was delicious. I cannot wait to come back and eat here again! It’s definitely on my itinerary for my next trip to Florida.
