Sometimes you just need those familiar flavors, and that’s what Sonny’s is for me. I remember coming here as a kid and it was something we all look forward to. This Sonny’s location is beautiful! I know there aren’t many locations around these days so traveling from Tampa was well-worth it! We are so happy we found this place. The indoor space here is beautiful. Lots of available seats for many visitors. They were busy when we visited, but the service was not compromised one bit. Our server was friendly and courteous and the food came out quickly and was great. The only downfall was the bathroom tidiness along with the lack of supplies in the bathroom, but no big deal….lack of staff I get it…it happens. Overall, we enjoyed ourself! I highly recommend this location!
A friend and I decided to try this Sonny's today. Our experience was very good, starting with the person who seated us, carrying through with the exceptional service by Samantha, and a pleasant tableside visit by the manager. The food was really good, especially the new pork egg roll appetizer. I had the pulled pork sandwich, and it was tender and moist and without that heavily smokey taste. They offer a deal to add a drink and side with your sandwich for $3. It is a great deal and the sides are a generous portion. I would recommend this restaurant for your barbecue enjoyment!
Sonny's, you really need to do better on your silverware. This is the first thing your customers are seeing. Terrible that it comes out of the dishwasher like this, and then one of the staff just let's it get packaged for your customers, "ME," to use. It's so disgusting. Either get a better dishwasher or have someone actually clean them by hand. This is really not acceptable.
Sonny's is great! We drive like 20 miles to this location because it is that good. Of course now it is the only location anywhere near us but still this has always been our preferred location. I love the corn nuggets and the sweet tea especially but everything I have had has been great and my husband loves the dry rub ribs!
We have the new brisket grilled cheese sandwiches and they were right on right on…. Pretty darn good barbecue with a4 sauced for sampling of original, smokey, sweet, ?. and sizzling which is my favorite... We also had a side sampler of corn nuggets at a cost of $5.99 and a buy 1 get 1 free beer which in my opinion is Amber Bock and was just about perfect foe what it is.... it's delicious if you like that sort of thing :)
I had one of the very best dining experiences at this location. The chicken was phenomenal - moist and delicious, served hot along with the best fries and green beans. Even better, the service was outstanding. My waiter, Zac was friendly, prompt, checked in regularly all while helping to direct fellow staff members to bus tables and make sure sauces were filled. He had an terrific attitude and it was so refreshing to see a server work super hard and provide great service. I was so impressed with him that I gave him a 100% tip.
Food is delicious and portions are large. Kaylee, our waitress gave us exceptional service and was very pleasant. Restaurant was very clean and nicely maintained. You can get beer/wine - full bar. Everyone was so pleasant. The manager stopped by...she'd been there 25 years and was very pleasant. Bright, Pleasant atmosphere. We don't live by nearby, but came for carshow at Wiregrass on Sun, April 10th, but enjoyed our time there last year so much, we made sure to stop there again. We will go there again. Great meal for a great price. went for dinner. Nice large menu. AAAA+++
Tried Sonny's on a recommendation from a family member who has been before. Delicious food. We enjoyed the Grilled Cheese Brisket sandwich, normal brisket sandwich and some corn nuggets. Multiple sauces to try with your BBQ. Tator tots were cooked perfectly and seasoned well.
Always great food. Our server was fantastic. I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. No doubt I'll keep going back. I've been a customer of Sonny's since '96 when I moved to Florida. They never disappoint.
