Ordered take out. Was told 20min. Took over an hour. Girl at front counter had a total attitude. Was too busy talking to her friend instead of helping us. Got home and food was ice cold and no rye bread and no crackers. The place was empty on a Friday night in season. Maybe if the employees cared they would be busier. Will NEVER order from there again.

The only reason I’m giving this a 3 is because 1) the food is always good and consistent. 2) The server who was not our server basically saved the day. We were in and our server was Natalie or Nat. She didn’t introduce herself, she seemed less then thrilled to even be there. Our order was fairly simple, 2 soups two sandwiches, a water NO Lemon and a Dr Browns soda. We’re not sure what happened but the soups were brought out separately. The water had extra lemon and she gave us an attitude when I asked if we could please have a new water NO lemon, she said can’t you just take them out. REALLY?? When she huffed and puffed like we were a complete inconvenience we could hear her complaining to the other servers!!!! When our sandwiches came out she sort of tossed them at us. We were really disappointed that we could Hear Nat complaining about us not 10 or so feet away. Please explain why some like this works in your establishment? Then as we sat waiting for 15-20 mins for our check another waitress came by and checked on us. Apparently the original server had transferred the table and didnt tell us. The other girl who was there was super apologetic and offered to get the manager or a dessert. We appreciated that but decided to just leave the review instead. We will avoid that server if we go back. That girl thinks her you know what doesn’t stink like everyone else. Boot that girl!

We should have known when we went at lunch time and there wasn't a line. Brisket dip was tough, looked good but could not eat it. Latke was marginal. Everyone makes it different but had big chunks of bacon that was barely cooked and instead of little finely chopped pieces. Very little cheese and looked just thrown together. This is the second time at this Too Jay and not good either time. Will not return.

The pastrami was very good! I was expecting a nice big sandwich for the price. It wasn’t like I remembered in the past. My wife ordered a cup of Matzo Ball soup and told the server that she likes her soup extra hot. It was Luke warm so she sent it back to be microwaved. Our server Natalya was very nice and was working extra hard since they like many restaurants were short staffed!!! If we didn’t have such a nice server I would have rated this visit a 3 out of 5.

Didn’t really want to eat here again because last experience wasn’t good . Gave them another chance only because the place we WANTED to eat at was over an hour wait . Will not go again. Waiting 10-15 mins to be acknowledged at table . Order food . Took FOREVER ( 40 mins) and the place was pretty empty. The food was horrible. Poached eggs were hard boiled. The sausage and bacon was so greasy we couldn’t eat it . Don’t get me started on the the smoked salmon on the Benedict. Terrible . Paid $40 + for breakfast for two that was pretty much inedible. Didn’t bother complaining cause that would have taken another hour . Done with this place .

Wow this place is AMAZING! The service, the decor, the food, everything is amazing and exquisite! I am so happy when I come here! I went for lunch today and I left absolutely satisfied. I highly recommend this place it’s a gem!

The wait time is exceptionally long even though there were alot of empty tables. The staff has zero customer service skills and it took three times to finally get my order right. Do not waste your time going to this restaurant.

To start we walked in with one other party waiting to be seated. It took almost a half hour to be seated with plenty of open tables. After finally being seated our waitress came over and greeted us by saying "the service is really bad today or at least that's what my customers are saying" a concerning introduction. But from there it just got worse, service was none existent, she took 20 minutes to bring our drinks, to which out of 4 people was missing 2. The food was the only saving grace of our visit. Our waitress didn't bring our sides or condiments with our meal but we did our best to not have the entire experience be horrible. I would recommend take out because the staff doesn't care about customers at all from the gentleman that seats you to the waitress. They made it blatantly obvious that they don't care and even come right out and say, you're going to get bad service. Take out only, food is good.

Today again my food pick up was delayed. Nobody in the restaurant and nobody waiting to be seated. When I asked Wendy after waiting 40 minutes for my food after I was told at the tie it would be ready, she was offended. The offending words were WHERE IS NY GODDAM FOOD? it’s always the same experience there. I guess I’m constantly optimistic that I’m going to get a fair experience. After all that I got home and the order was wrong.

Ordered just a burger and french onion soup via the web. It gave me a pickup time at 12:42. I arrived a little late at 12:49 and was told that my food was not ready. Continued to wait while more people arrived trying to pick up their food. Then a bunch of food comes out of the kitchen. Instead of taking the people as they ordered, they start taking the big orders first. Finally got my food at 1:23 over 40 minutes from when it was supposed to be ready and about an hour after I ordered it. To make matters worse, it was cold. My guess is that it was probably ready when promised and was sitting back in the kitchen until the brought a whole bunch of food out. The unfortunate thing about tipping online before you get your food. First and last trip here.
