This is another hidden gem. I discovered this wonderful and inexpensive Japanese restaurant three years ago. I hadn't been in Wellington in almost 3 years so tonight was my first time here in quite some time. The food was as delicious as it was three years ago. Mike is the owner and he is a great guy. His assistant is Alyssa and she is a fabulous, professional, and very charming server. I love this place and I'm sad I don't live here.
Always left satisfied and happy after dining at Sushi Fans. It’s been my family’s go to sushi spot since we moved to Wellington in 2014. Great food and service keeps us coming back.
Sushi Fan Cafe has by far the freshest, tastiest sushi and sashimi in town. I’ve tried all the sushi places in Wellington but always return to Sushi Fan Cafe when craving sushi. It’s best for take out because it is such a small restaurant. Just try the sushi/sashimi once and you will become a fan ☺️ They are reasonably priced and portions are very generous.

terrible ramen, it had no flavor. pad thai did not taste like pad thai either.
I been in wellington for 5 months and could not find a amazing sushi spot. They were all just okay or all fried tempura with cream cheese. Someone told us to try here and I did and it so good and fresh. So far my favorite rolls are dancing shrimp roll and snow white roll. This will be my weekly go to. ( it's pickup only )
