For all my flavor loving folks, I’d definitely skip this place. I’d say, their impersonation of a Mexican restaurant is a flop. Nothing tasted authentic… more like Taco Bell.We were greeted with a rude hostess that didn’t want to seat us in a booth even though the restaurant was empty. Then the drink (mojito) tasted like plain juice. The food was as bland as can be, like I said before. And to make matters worse my husband bit into a bread tie (I don’t know what it’s called) of which I have a picture of. I let them know about it and they offered to comp our check so that was really nice of them but honestly I do not believe we’ll be back.
First time to these restaurant i asked for a unsweet tea with lemon and sweetner tea tasted everything but fresh tea, then we asked for spicer salsa they didnt have any they offered bottled sauce,then we asked for a water bottle they didnt have any, we also asked for to change meat chicken for more beef they said they couldn't so that was a complete not come again
My visit was the worst.!! Currently here at the restaurant and still waiting an entire hour without any food. The manager Josephine and staff never came to check on my table. When I brought this to the manager’s attention. She stormed off with the worse response I’ve ever seen.
The most unsanitary restaurant I’ve ever been too! I’ve been to this restaurant many times and never sat at the bar so my fiancé and I decided to sit at the bar. Bad mistake. The bartender was extremely rude. The bar back who was making margaritas was probably only 15. She was eating Dunkin’ Donuts food while making our drinks. She then cut limes with no gloves. Dishes with food on it was in the sink along with plastic tubs for the margarita mix. The plastic tubs never got cleaned and the young girl made more mix without them being cleaned. A server stood on the bar near the beer taps with his dirty feet to grab a sombrero and surface was never sanitized. He stood on it again to put the sombrero back. Again no sanitation. Food arrived an hour later and couldn’t bring myself to eat it. No management on staff. Never saw anyone wash their hands once. Will NEVER go back here!
Great atmosphere with good service. Spacious seating area. Everything was remodeled nicely. Raspberry Margarita was good but too sweet, and they forgot the salt on my rim. Food was good at decent prices.
Not a meal worth $75. Incredibly disappointing. If you know authentic Mexican, you will not like this place. The chips were chewy and undercooked. Al pastor didn’t have much flavor. Burrito was a soggy mess. Kids pizza was the size of my hand and looked worse than what you could buy frozen at Publix for the same $8. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Went in early on a Friday. I asked for a booth. The host went to ask the manager who was 3 ft away from me, and I heard her say “we have to save the booths for the big parties”. So he came back, told me no and sat me at a table. I pleaded again, he said “no we have 2 big parties coming and there will be no room”. Note: The booths already taken that could fit big “parties” were already full. The rest were regular booths.The chair was so uncomfortable and I requested a booth due to a MEDICAL ISSUE. They never asked, just denied me. Horrible service, they don’t care. Horrible management. $12 for a scoop of coke (not fresh) guacamole!!! And $2 for sour cream ?!Go to another Mexican place!
Super slow service. Watched the bar back eat food from a Dunkin’ Donuts bag and not wash her hands and make margaritas after. There are better choices. Oh, they ran out of salsa too.
After months of searching for the best authentic Mexican tacos in the area I finally tried LaFogata today. I must say they are definitely on the top of the list. The only draw back is they only come as part of a meal with refried beans and rice for $20+ and no option for getting them individually. So for those of you like me who like getting 5, 6 or 7 of them, it will get a bit expensive and wasteful. Make them available individually as well and they would be perfect and 5 stars.
My family-there were 16 of us-had dinner there on Christmas Eve- the food was delicious-drinks great but most important the wait staff led by Brook was outstanding. The restaurant has been remodeled-is lovely. We have been coming to the restaurant for many years but not with a group this size. They exceeded our expectations..
