I used to work there..I don't understand how that place is still open, there's so many rats in the back ...whatever you order..the rats got to it first
This is one of our favorite watering holes, the menu is ok, and the drinks are good and cold, the views and atmosphere are the real deal
Loved sitting by the ocean and enjoying the great service and food at this historic location. We have a service dog and this place warmly welcomes her with water and love.
Excellent food and service, it was our first visit and it was a great choice restaurant, we're sure will be back.
Great view, great atmosphere and great drink prices. Food, not so much. Order the Mahi Mahi and it was ok. It was served in an onion bun that fell apart and fish had no flavor.We did enjoy the calamari. We will be back but for the drinks not to eat.
I came here today with a friend with our 9 year old kids. We put our name on the list to eat and it was a 45min to an hour wait. We went to get a drink at the bar and the kids jumped in the pool as it was a hot day… Lee Olsen the manager yelled at our kids for being in the pool. Our kids were not rowdy or disruptive, they just wanted to cool off. The pool was empty except for them… We made the kids come out.. We waited for our table. Once we were finally seated we ordered our food.. the kids were really hot so I told them to jump back in the pool.. Well LEE OLSEN came over screaming at us to get the kids out of the pool. I said the only one that has a problem with this kids in the pool is YOU!! I said we ate paying customers and if it’s a problem we will leave.. I also knew our food would be coming out really soon but I wanted him to try and kick us out…. He threatened to but in the same sentence walked away.. The food came and before anyone touched it I found our waitress and said Lee threatened to throw us out and if he’s going to I’m not paying for this food… The waitress said if he threw us out she wouldn’t even give us a bill… There seems to be an on going problem with Lee and he needs to GO!! Lee called us bad parents.. He’s a grumpy old man that should not be dealing with the public. I will not be back until he’s gone!!
Nice atmosphere. It is part of the Driftwood Inn, which is a really unique place right on the ocean in Vero Beach. They have indoor seating & outdoor seating. Some right on the ocean if your lucky enough to grab one of those tables. Menu has a good variety of food, and all that we had was very good. Best onion rings I've found in Florida so far. Our waiter Michael was the best!! We had a loud table of 6 people and he was able to keep up with everything! If in the area definitely worth a stop.
This is also a hotel. I was not impressed with the food but it was a beautiful weather day and visiting from up north it was good to sit in the warmth.
I arrived today with a party of 9. After queuing for some time to put my name down I was greeted by a rude lady hostess who was only outdone in her rudeness by her colleague Lee, the Manager. When I asked for a table for 9, or two tables to split our party size in a bid to shorten the wait time, I was told it would be a 3 hour wait. I said “Ok, that’s fine, you can put my name down and we will come back around then”. Lee said, “No. You can come back in 3 hours and out your name in then”. I couldn’t understand why that would be the case - He was quite possibly the rudest, most argumentative man I have ever come across. He then shouted at me to find another restaurant when I queried why he wouldn’t put my name on the list. I walked inside to then ask the inside hostess if the inside wait was shorter. He then followed me inside and shouted again that I could find another restaurant. I mean, I have to say I will NEVER eat there, EVER. And from the customers who were leaving at the same time as me, who overheard the entire exchange, thank you for reassuring me that I wasn’t missing anything as the food wasn’t worth it! I would suggest if the owner wants to keep a thriving business he finds another restaurant for Lee to work at!
Amazing late lunch!Tuna tacos had nice size tuna pieces, no skimping here!VIP sandwich outstanding as well.5 stars for the food, 3 for the inside atmosphere.
