Did the Tepanki dinner for 2. Just average. Meet was under seasoned and chewy. Frued rice was bland. Not impressed for s $90 dinner... Tried once wont go back for the dinner.. Service was slow and most importantly we felt rushed. In fact the waitress said orher big parties were waiting. Not impressed
5 stars isn’t enough. Aside from the good food and prices, the staff went above and beyond when I misplaced my keys to help me find them. I am shocked that good customer service like this still exists. Strongly recommend coming here if you value good hospitality and good food.
I enjoyed eating here, lots of food, had to take some home, I recommend the Hibachi side of the restaurant ? the food waz great the chef did a great job!!
A. I thought this review was very much needed. My wife and I frequent this establishment quite often. Our last experience was in poor taste of customer service and lack of integrity. Normally, when we receive the check, we pay the bill and exit it with grace. On this particular occasion, our waitress decided to make our party of two, a party of six. Which automatically generates an 18% tip to the waitress added to the bill. Now, keep in mind that we've never exited an establishment without leaving a tip. Even if the service was horrible. That's just our little rule we have. For a waitress who doesn't speak a lick of English, failed to ask if we needed a refill, napkins, questions, etc. Take it upon themselves to automatically tip themselves 18% is unexcusable! It totally takes advantage of the paying customer. And it lacks integrity. My wife asked the waitress to fix the receipt because it stated 6 guests. When there was a party of five of more, your group is automatically charged with gratuity. She went back and got another receipt, changed it to 2 guests, and left the 18% tip on it without us having a say so in what we would initially give. This was an eye opener. We never really look at the detailed breakdown of receipts when paying the bill because we pay for what we want, and we can clearly see the price at the time of ordering. When someone takes it upon themselves to factor in their tip without acknowledgment to the customer, it's stealing from the customer! Besides, tips are 100% discretionary. Keep an eye on your bill!!!
Very nice place! Will definitely be back
This Friday my wife & I decided to go out for sashimi as it was unseasonably warm in Vero Beach. Our original pick unfortunately was closed for good which was a shame. In then remembered Takara which I had passed many times on US 1. We parked right at the front door, entered and were immediately seated at a both. While they do offer Hibachi dinners, we were there for sashimi. We ordered everything at once. A large hot sake, a Kirin beer, an order of gyoza and shrimp shumai, the sashimi platter for me and the shrimp tempura dinner for my wife. Both were accompanied with miso soup and a small salad. The sashimi was excellent, perfectly cut by a master consisting of tuna, salmon, yellow tail and two other fish that I couldn't identify but enjoyed, all artfully displayed on a platter with edible flowers, ginger and wasabi. A side bowl opf rice was provided. The tempura came piled high and nicely fried crisp accompanied with fried rice
Not a great experience, walking in the floor was a bit sticky. The Waitress seemed disinterested. I ordered the Japanese curry chicken which was very bland for a curry dish, the Mgr was nice enough to suggest I try the Teriyaki chicken instead which came with noodles and vegetables which was actually pretty good. This was the only reason I gave it three stars. To top things off I was getting bit by mosquitoes during my meal. Overall this was an unpleasant experience. I don’t think there were enough positives to give them another try. I hope they can do better.
The ambience and food was one of the best I have experienced. Beautiful presentation! Try the chicken teriyaki.
Hibachi grill was fair.food bland, not much seasoning. Food was cold fast because the room was cold. 6 of us were the only ones in the restaurant and service for drinks was slow.we had to keep asking for the server. She was not attentive. I love Hibachi up north in Ct.The cook entertains and makes the evening a fun experience on Ct. Very little in this restaurant.
The food is exquisite!! I was so happy to find this little spot and I can’t wait to go back. Wonderful
