My family loves the red onion. The food is delicious and the staff is so lovely. When we have time, we relax and enjoy the outdoor seating while waiting for our order. If it's a beach day, we call in a to go order to enjoy. Thank you for serving consistently good food to locals who have loved you for years!
Had lunch there on two occasions. Very nice sandwich's & we will certainly eat there again the next time we are in Vero
We used to love the red onion. The last time we tried to eat there it felt like it was going down hill fast. The Covid stickers everywhere made me lose my appetite. Stickers on the floor, on the tables, on the door that broke on us walking in.Customers were complaining about how long they’ve been waiting for food and told us to go somewhere else. So we did.I hope it can bounce back but man that was rough.
Had dinner here last night upon recommendation from the hotel we were staying at. Huge portions we both took half of our sandwiches back to the hotel which was great since we had an early dinner. Food was excellent. Ate outside with a beautiful ocean breeze. I had the asparagus sandwich which was to die for. My husband had the grouper Rueben which he loved. We both had a bowl of clam chowder which was delicious. Will definitely be back!
Trip Advisor needs to recheck price listing on menu for Red Onion. RUBEN GROUPER is over 20 dollars. Currently listed around 15 dollars...
We were very dissatisfied. We spent $34 and salad was not good. Especially for price! Wrong dressing. Add on chicken for $3.75 was not enough chicken for that price. The soup that was $6.75 for a cup was a 1/4 of a cup not even filled up either. They closed before we could say anything.We took our food from their table outside to park across the street because of busy people walking in front of us. It was our first time to eat there. We are Not going back. It was a Huge disappointment!! I had to get food somewhere else because it was not enough to fill me up.
Ate here today for the first time, around 1:30PM on a Friday.Fried Grouper Ruben: delicious.Chicken Caesar Salad: greens were not washed and had a lot of dirt in them, so salad was inedible. Got the food to-go, so didn't discover this until after we'd left. Chicken was average.Service: friendly, food took about 30 minutes to prepare.
Used to be a great place. Food is still great, but the service is sooooooo slow, you can run three errands before you are served. Tried to order for pick up, hold time is over five minutes. Needs management !!!!!
So after ordering and paying they were out of what I had ordered so I chose a different order ...which was less than what i had originally ordered ...they did not offer to refund the difference
1 hour from walking in to self-order to getting our sandwich (1) and chips! ORDER AHEAD, if you must go. Others equally disgruntled, but the servers are pleasant anyway. Tourist trap.
