So tonight July 4, I decided to order Mr. Manatees. I requested two orders of Gator tale with fries. Total came up to $32.08. The bartender gave me my food and only gave me one of the orders. I asked the bartender where is the second order? She said they put both of them inside of one container and stated, I should have told her that I wanted both orders separately. I will totally not be eating there again.Pros:Fast service.Con:Charge for two and only gave me one order. Gator tale was over cooked and taste a little bit burned.

Our waitress Alex was wonderful, and our gator tail appetizer was just fine, no complaints. My husband and I both ordered the fiesta fish burrito, which was said to have fried mahi mahi, chipotle Mayo, jalapeños, and cheese. Sounds great, but we were so disappointed when our entrees came. The fish had no flavor at all, and the “burrito” looked and tasted a lot more like a cheap wrap you could buy at the gas station. I couldn’t even finish mine, it so was not worth it! We are from out of town and were super excited to try a local, low key seafood joint. Super super disappointing!

Had not been here in a while -so disappointed. Had a simple Caesar salad and grilled shrimp. Had to have shrimp replaced- as the first batch was dry and tasteless. There was way too much salad dressing as well. The only saving grace was the server who did offer a free dessert -but I decided against it. Hope it was just a fluke. But it will be a long time til I try this place again. What’s happening Vero Beach ??

Don't even know where to begin. One of the worst dining experiences ever. We asked to sit on the patio. That was a mistake. We literally went unattended to for 15 minutes while there was a shift change. We then waited another 30 minutes for subpar appetizers. Cold lobster bisque and burnt gator bites. Entree wasnt much better. The Captains Platter was just bad , rubbery shrimp and scallops and frozen vegetables. We will not be back.

We (party of 5) arrived an hour before they closed, put in our orders within 15 minutes of sitting down. They brought out the appetizers, told us it wouldn't be a problem with how late we had showed up and that we had plenty of time. Then after 45 minutes the manager came to us in tears saying that the cook refused to cook our food and had already shut down the kitchen because she had another job that started at 10pm (which is their closing time). She then recommended we go to Applebee's or ruby tuesdays. My family has been going to Mr manatees at least once during every vacation trip for years now, we all have their t-shirts and have never had any issues with their service until now. Sad to say that we have no desire to return after last night.

We definitely did not have a good experience, our waiter couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, the food was just ok, we never received our appetizer & sandwiches took more than an hour to get. Prices are not reasonable either especially given what it took to even get any food. This problem was caused by the kitchen being very short staffed....not an uncommon problem Spring of '22

Very pleasant and peaceful. Good food and service was.wonderful. our first visit there, although we had always meant to go. We would see it after leaving Jack Baily's, some years ago. We decided it was time, and found it enjoyable.

Shrimp smaller than what we use for fish bait. 1 scallop on a small platter. No silverware. Ran out of glasses. Corn chips stale. Salsa full water. Lobster bisque cold. Piece lobster not fresh. Oysters good. Set at bar if you want good service. waitress Bella did great job with no back up helper.

I’ve been going to this place for years, and for the first time, I was very disappointed with the food. The server was great. However, I ordered the lobster bisque and when it came to the table cold, I sent it back. When it was brought back to me, the bisque was still cold. My wife ordered the captain’s plater and the vegetable portion was larger then the seafood portion. Henceforth, I would not recommend Mr. Manatees restaurant to anyone.

This is a nice casual place for the family or for happy hour. Ask to sit in the back if you want a reduced noise level from the bar. I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s good food at reasonable prices. Blackened grouper was good but the mahi mahi was even better. Crab cake was a pleasant surprise. Their house hot sauce is solid. Your kids will enjoy this place too. If you’re looking for a fancy place, drive over the bridge to the ocean side of Vero. If you want a decent meal in a friendly atmosphere with some good fish, give this place a try.
