If you are into beer, this could be your place. If you are hungry, go somewhere else. Also understand they include a 3% “close the gap”charge for the kitchen staff… it’s essentially a tip the kitchen staff they automatically charge you. If they have to fill the gap, why don’t they just pay the kitchen staff more anyway????? Understand the prices are already high enough and then they tack on an extra fee to your bill. With that said, of our party of ten only two people were satisfied with our meal. The fondue was cold. The other foods were a little too “fru-fru”. The service was slow , however, the staff was friendly though - too bad. Anyway, a VERY disappointing visit.
One word. Fondue. You will be very happy you did. There is an extensive list of beers including many local brews. The serving team is attentive and helpful. Pleasant indoor and outdoor seating areas. Delightful Americana music during our visit.
We had a lovely night out here. Ate outside. Our waiter was awesome, was great at recommending drafts for us to try. I had a pear cider and a blueberry something.. we had the duck empanadas, they're to die for. We also did sandwiches and then the classic chocolate fondue!
Wanted to like this place so much, but after about an hour I discovered the server had not put in the order for my entree (I got a beer and a charcuterie though, and assumed the delay was just due to the kitchen being busy). I learned this when a new server introduced himself and asked whether I needed anything. He said the original server must not have heard the order and had left work. About ten minutes later I noticed the original server was restocking beer. So I don't know what the hell happened. I do know that nobody apologized or offered a comp dessert, etc.
Charming place, I love the festive decorations, it's cozy and colorful. I had the prime rib sandwich with potato salad, it was very good. Good Irish music.
I had such a wonderful experience at Kilted Mermaid! My husband and I sat outside and enjoyed the warm Florida air. We were still able to enjoy the live entertainment. The food was amazing! The Fisherman's Pie was phenomenal, and the cheese and chocolate fondues were absolutely delicious too! The service was wonderful as well. I ended up getting a shirt to support the restaurant. Definitely a great place for date night, for any night!
Really good selection for Charcuterie. You pick the cheese and meat that you want. Service was very good. Inside and outside eating. Large selection of craft beers.
Staying here overnight otw Miami for Cruise Checked Trip Advisor for restaurant I like different food-Fondue caught my eye We loved it! Tried several craft beers, Cheese Fondue was a ton of food-had bread, potatoes, bell peppers, broccoli, Cauliflower, even Artichoke!!! Wait staff was great even though they were packed Greeted by gracious host in Kilt!!! All servers knowledgeable on beers and food Sat outside-loved lights and decor Had cool band there from Asheville, NC, where we drove from!! Great experience!!!
Great experience. Cozy family owned and run "joint" featuring a great assortment of beers, wines and house drinks. Thor made us feel at home with suggestions and conversation. Wife loved the "Mermaid Tail". Menu is simple but tasty and offers vegan selections. The live band on Friday night added to the cool eclectic vibe! Loved the chicken curry pie and Samosas!! Pricing was extremely fair!!
It's a cute place and very vibrant atmosphere. The menu is interesting with fondue a specialty. We did order it and shared, problem it came without the steak we had ordered and had to wait another 15 minutes and the fondue cooled down. Shepherd's pie was ok at best. Great beer selection. They have vegetarian selections, but were out of a couple that we ordered. Service is a bit spotty, the server was nice but I think overwhelmed. I'll try it agian.
