We have mostly taken out but have also dined in. Truly great piazza, I think it is the best I’ve ever had. The pizza is not dripping in oil, firm enough to pick up but not brittle. If there is such a thing as diet pizza this is it. Wonderful tomato sauce ( not greasy), great cheese and a thin crust. My husband loves to try their Lasagna when they have it , me it’s pizza every time! Very clean, friendly place probably no more than six tables and the owner and chef is right there! This is the place for good Italian without the noise/ hustle/bustle/fake ornaments and trappings of other places.
Ordered the same meLs twice to go. Always excellent and still hot after a 10 mile drive home. I love the “to go” heavy bowls and lids the food is in. This is a class act establishment. Highly recommended. Chicken w/mushrooms is unbeatable.
Francescas is a good solid place for a nice dinner or quick take outThe food is done well and they have inside seating that is a little tight but enough. Their pizzas are good and the chicken cheese steak rivals the northeast sandwich shops. An oasis in the southeast must be a Pittsburgh thing
First time here with a party of 6. One person got the Scampi and it was tasteless. When they asked for a different sauce they were told no. Eventually they did give them more scampi sauce but it felt like we were imposing. It wasn't real busy either. One of the red wines was turning bad so it was replaced. The bread was ok. The eggplant was mushy. The calamari was undercooked. The coating was like soggy bread. The other meals were ok but there are better options in Vero Beach. The waitress was very good. None of this was her fault. We won't be back.
My husband and I eat at Francesca’s regularly and absolutely love it!! Every meal has been great. Calamari is the best I’ve had. Love the bread pasta and pizza!! Highly recommend it!!!
I was disappointed with the seating and the room to be able to enjoy your food. There were offers of great things but no place to eat them. our table for two was approximately 24" x 24" with chairs pinning you to your table and if the person behind you is a little on the heavy side, you were jammed in pretty tight. My shrimp scampy was pretty good but needed salt. My wife's chicken dish was less than satisfacory. THe red wine we had was good.
Four of us decided to try Francesca's to see how it compares with other great Italian restaurants we frequent in Vero Beach. We each got something different from the menu to try: Chicken Parmesan, Eggplant Parmesan, Pollo Marsala, and a Squash Ravioli. Two of the selections were VG, the eggplant and the ravioli but the chicken dishes were not so good. I was brought additional sauce for my eggplant, however, there was an upcharge of $1.50. The Chicken Parmesan was very tough, dry and extremely difficult to cut. While the wait staff was attentive, when it was brought to her attention she just shrugged. She did not offer to substitute the dish nor offer any sort of apology. The other chicken dish was spongy in texture and easily broke apart. It seemed to have been marinated for some time which caused the sponginess. One chicken dish was barely touched and the other had several forkfuls eaten. The restaurant is casual and very small and has about 10 tables. We had reservations and arrived on a rainy evening with only a few patrons. If you order other than the chicken dishes, you will likely be happy with your selection. Needless to say, we have chosen to not return.
I really wanted to like this place as they just built a new terrace and it has a great location near Humiston. Great service, but only the lasagna was good. They served cold arancini to start and a horrible amatricana (which was served as a penne in water with burnt ham and diced tomatoes). Not even close to an amatricana which I directly sent back and ordered an easier lasagna. I never send anything back - it was inedible and I was hungry. I gave them the option to charge me for the entree and the manager happily did saying its not their fault I didn't like it. Waitress was great. Wine and lasagna was solid, but horrible and cold arancini, a disgrace of both a amatricana and cannoli. In the end extremely disappointing and a bit offensive at $110 for a single person.
We stopped there for pizza and appetizers with some wine . Our waiter was young and very attentive . Great wine and we had the vegetable pizza . The capresse salad was delicious ! Definitely a nice place to go
I will say the pizza was very good, which is why this is two stars instead of one- but everything else about the experience was terrible. This clearly takes the place for the worst customer service experience I've ever had, starting with the girl who took the order. She wasn't able to answer questions about the ingredients on the pizza, or the number of slices, and told us that all available information was listed on the menu. We still placed an order for pickup, and when we got home found that the pricey Caesar's salad was simply chopped lettuce and cheese, missing the croutons. We called to say so and were offered no apology by the girl, who simply said "I don't know what to tell you". We asked to speak to the owner, and asked for a refund, and he quite literally went on a tirade about how 6 cent croutons should not be worth a refund of the salad, and he would have to fire the person who prepared the salad in order to cover the cost of the refund. For a handful of lettuce and cheese. He did begrudgingly give a refund of the salad eventually, but I'm not sure it was worth having to endure this man's entitlement and anger.
