The food was extraordinary and the service was amazing. Would highly recommend!
What a hidden gem! This restaurant is so unassuming, that you might think you’re in the wrong place when you arrive at the strip mall it’s located at.Roger, the owner, handled our phone reservation, came to speak with us several times during our meal, and even brought us some special selected wine bottles that were not on the menu yet (he’s also a highly rated sommelier). The kitchen prepared both fillet mignon and fish to perfection and Amy our server was extremely attentive throughout our experience.Cannot wait to go back and experience this again and try new menu items!
Not our first visit and won’t be our last! The appetizers were delicious. I had the goat cheese empanada and my husband had the tuna. For dinner I had the swordfish and he the crab cakes and both were Devine! The swordfish was perfectly cooked and the crab cakes were mostly crab with the best bacon horseradish sauce. The best fried green tomato ever topped with house made pimento cheese. For dessert the citrus cake with lemon buttermilk granita was the perfect ending. Bruce took great care of us.
Nice place with good food. There are other excellent restaurants in the area, as well: The Tides; Yellow Dog, etc... Fire & Wine is vastly over rated.
Hadn’t been here in a while. The last time we had reservations our granddaughter decided to be born and we had to cancel. As always we were greeted by the ever charming Roger. After a little chat with him we sat down and our waiter Michael greeted us and started explaining tonight’s menu, he did a good job. Now the hard part is coming. Trying to decide what to eat as it all sounds delicious. Last Wednesday we chose the goat cheese salad which was creamy and crunchy with a del
Quirky, fun, hidden gem, unique, friendly, tasty and delicious. If you are looking for a Red Lobster or Outback Steakhouse type restaurant with standard fare, or a quite snooty place with hushed conversation and pinky’s out, this is not the place for you. If you like inventive, creative dishes with a southern flair this is your spot! Yes it’s a bit noisy, small, and funky which is why our family of six has gone to celebrate birthdays their twice. Tonight was my mom’s 93rd, and she loved it. From the amazing seared ahi tuna to the asparagus soup to the TV dinner catfish, we all ate well and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The wine list excels. Highly recommended.
Outstanding experience! Staff was warm and welcoming and the food was on par with some of the top rated restaurants we've had the pleasure of dining at around the country. The Tuna sashimi with Wasabi coleslaw and pan fried scallops in a mouth watering broth were our starters and paired well with glasses of Silver Peak Pinot (fantastic choice if you like Pinot Noir) After looking at the generous portion sizes at other tables, we split the Barramundi fish special which was topped with a savory mango chili sauce served on a bed of sauted rice, calamari and fire roasted Asparagus........amazing! Last but not least if you like pecan pie they put a spin on it substituting pistachios in a tart served with a flavorful vanilla ice cream. Don't let the unassuming exterior deter you from an experience that will have you thanking the kitchen staff for their efforts.
We were on the road on I95 north and asked Siri for a five star seafood restaurant near and we end up to Fire & Wine. As we entered, the host was super nice and welcomed us without reservations. The food was delicious and service was excellent. Highly recommend.
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday tonight after searching and researching for the best dinner in vero and they live up to their reputation and more. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, the presentation is classy and the food is prepared by an obvious master of his craft. The short ribs melted before I had a chance to chew and the creme brûlée is hands down the best I have ever tasted, but what really stands out and makes this a place I will continue to visit is the staff. As soon as i walked in it felt like I was visiting old friends. They made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we set foot in the door till the moment we left. I’m only leaving 5 stars because they won’t let me leave any more. I see why people hail Fire and Wine as a local treasure. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit.
I truly appreciated the friendliness and excellent customer service from our waiter, Mike, and our host with the most, Roger. The broccoli purée soup was excellent and we ordered the monkfish with carrots and mushrooms normally on top of potatoes but the chef was nice enough to substitute spinach per my request and everything blended together fantastically. My date ordered the filet mignon with french fries and a lovely dipping sauce that we could’ve had as a soup because it was so delicious. Everything tasted fresh without being overly seasoned. Roger was even kind enough to give us his time and well educated recommendation on what wine we should purchase to pair with our venison dinner at home the following night. We will definitely be back again and again.
