Di Mare , and Chef Jean, is by far the best French Chef and Restaurant in Vero Beach! He has true Authentic French cuisine, he is a true master saucier. His Rivera style technique is second to none, I would highly recommend either the Dover Sole, or the Filet Minion. Both are served with their accompanying sauces, which are Great. Do yourself a favor, and check this Restaurant out! You won’t be disappointed!
I guess after reading other reviews I picked an off night to dine here. The service was the worst. Waited 35 mins to get a drink. Escargot was rubbery and had no flavor at all just oily. Will say the soup was delicious and the seafood crepe I had was delicious but my husband’s chicken wasn’t so good and my sister in laws veal was like cardboard. I don’t mind spending money for a good meal but this was disappointing for sure.
From the service to the food everything was exceptionally good. We live an hour away but we'll be back soon. Highly recommend
A nice ambiance and the food was good, mine was the fillet steak and curly fries which were excellent. Marked down for adding a surcharge with the bill for paying by credit card! For us two, the tab came to $150 and they added a surcharge. Wow. Disappointing and greedy.
I dined here several years ago and had a great dinner with great service. Something must have happened in the meantime, judging from the reviews. Truth be told, the owner's snarky, often rude replies to negative reviews is reason enough not to go back. The way to win over customers isn't to trash everyone who leaves negative feedback.
We've been coming here for 10+ years and have always had a GREAT time. Exceptional Mother's Day menu, polite and efficient staff and most importantly --- the French/Italian variety of sauce options with the meals. It was a little warm so we ate inside BUT the outside tables were almost full so we may try that next time.
This used to be one of our fave restaurants in Vero so decided to go for Easter dinner. Arrived at 6 and sat for 22 minutes with menus while 3 different waitresses worked tables on all sides of us. We practically tackled one of them and asked if we HAD a waitress. (Same thing happened in 2020 but we excused it due to COVID wait staff shortages.). A waitress finally came and gave us the impression she was doing another waitress a favor by taking our table. She took our order and told us the table bread was coming soon. 40 minutes from our seating, the table bread arrived. An hour and 20 minutes from seating, the meals arrived. A steak knife had been delivered for the person with Lamb Wellington which should’ve been a clue. At $45, it was shoe leather. Fibrous, stringy and tough. And, true to form, the waitress disappeared when it was check time so we waited to pay. Sat down at 6 and left at 8:30! Doubt we’ll be back any time soon.
This is one of the best restaurants in Vero Beach. One of the best polish, italian foods I ever had. The owner is a very chilled person. When I told her that I have tried perogies from elsewhere in Vero, she told outright "TRY HERE AND YOU WILL COME BACK FOR THOSE". I was sceptical at first, but the perogies were otherworldly. I have some vague pictures of food we had, the vagueness is due to my attention towards consumption ?. I have tried grilled octopus, lobster ravioli, perogies and a lemon dessert. Everyone should try and see these awesome dishes. The location is very quite and serene. 5 ⭐. Thank you Dr.. Darrell for introducing this amazing place.
My Dad wanted to celebrate his 75th birthday here and after reviewing the menu I was all for it. Couldnt wait to have escargot. What a let down. Starting with the greet at the door asked the bartender where the restroom is to wash my hands before dinning and i was answered like i should know where im going. After sitting and having a martini reviewing the wines by the glass was a complete let down.Ordered the the escargot which took time. Was warned by the server that the center plate would be hot and not to touch it. I hope so but the butter wasnt even melted and the garlic was raw. Complimentary soup should stay at olive garden since it was a salt bucket, just like they are, thanks but no thanks. Dinner took a while so I wondered inside from sitting on the patio the restaurant was filled with smoke. Personally i dont care what you’re cooking it shouldnt fill the dinning room with smoke. Server said it was from all the steak ordered. Maybe its time to clean the kitchen hoods. Dinner arrives and another let down. Veal piccata had a thick floury sauce with no flavor served with angel hair with no sauce, so it was a clump, and vegetables: carrots, beans, and oddly enough baby bok choy but there was just the root of that no actual leaves.Ive been dinning in many restaurants and this might have been the strangest. Dont think id recommended unless you need some bad restaurant entertainment.
This is a place my parents have dined at for many years when visiting Vero Beach and my Dad passed last year so I came with Mom. I personally wouldn't have chosen this place as I don't do fine dining but I did find the experience pleasant and the food was very good. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. The owner spoke with us and remembered my parents from previous visits. All in all a nice dining experience.
