Have been spoiled by an Asian buffet in Sarasota FL. Unfortunately the food at Chef Lins was not very warm. The sushi is on room temperature platters. No ice or cooling plates. Room temperature sushi has never been pleasing to look at and just plain risky to eat. The servers were very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, my 1st and last visit.
Came In today around 4:15pm 5/4/22 lady stated it was now dinner time so I paid 15 dollars. ( wasnt certain as to when dinner started but ok..).I was very dissatisfied..When I tell you the food was barely warm ..string snap peas were hard ..it also tasted like a few raw ones fell in the bunch. Rice was hard and cold..all I'm saying is if its dinner time let's bring out hot food. I come here every now and then I guess it just depends on the time but, I wont ever..and I mean never come back around this time. Food that I had was horrible and I did mention it to the very nice lady that I wasnt happy the rice was hard etc she stated it was no more rice etc..I wanted my money back but took the dang lost boy was I dissapointed today I would have been better off with ihop..at least their food is served hot..I'll go to psl next time to makita buffet..Cant just say its dinner time..add some craw fish crab legs and the rest of food luke warm..I dont eat crab like that only had it 3x in my life 15 dollars later..still hungry and the 2 plates that I made looked like nothing had been removed..do better!!! With making sure the food is hot..first time I went around there was 2 chicken wings available ..once I started on my 2nd plate hot chicken wings were brought out..that was the best part of my afternoon. The dang doughnut I got wasnt even fresh. Very dang dissapointed with the sloppy buffet service today not saying staff wasnt nice because they were..but they definitely took a break on providing the best service today..I couldnt make this up if I wanted to..veeery shocking because I've always had good food here..!.smh!
Good place to eat if you don't mind meh quality.If you like Chines food and just want to eat just because you feel like it.
Unacceptable for cleanliness. Ceiling vents, dark, outside area crummy and garbage dumpster loaded with scavenging ibises. Everything needs cleaning. Won’t return.
Ate there on a Thursday night and the sushi was OK but the rest of the food wasn't up to any stars. Tables were dirty and had dry food encrusted on table top. Floor was dirty. Just nasty and. Not worth price.
Edit update: i have become very sick, I've been purging last 10 minutes , i am not happy.Shrimp tasted old, sushi was warm and dried, and most things i tried hard like that hard meat shell from being over cooked but was some how wet from watered down sauce, super disappointed, only thing good was the rib tips, avoid if you want to try something new like me and my wife was trying, my food standards are low, but this place is a 8 doller buffet selling for 14 bucks ?
We eat there often. Food is always fresh. They even have a grill. You pick out what you want and it's cooked right in front of you

I rated this once before and the food was really good last time I was there however the shrimp the little small shrimp were had not been deveined and they were very dry and chewing I could only eat one of those some of the vegetables were like just tripping in a grease of some sort I literally had the bottom on paper on the napkins and I mean the stuff just squished right out of the broccoli and stuff my stomach's not feeling very well right now after eating but I will add some photos of the food that I ate and I don't know if I'll go back a bit disappointing tonight
Sorry I can not recommend this place. Selection is smaller compared to other buffets and interior is outdated. They do not have ice cream for desert. Food often just warm and can be dried out if not used. I have been to many better buffets than this and I won't be returning.
