If you love undercooked pizza with a ton of crust, this place is for you! First, I had not been to Cap's in a few years because I was not impressed the last time I visited. Well, nothing appears to have changed much. I ordered 3 large pies ($68 bucks) and they were mediocre at best. The meat lover had some tasty toppings but they were all piled in the center of the pie with nothing on the outer 5 inches of each slice. Basically the amount of toppings one would expect in a 12 inch pie, so the first 2 bites you get meat, and then a bite of cheese and then way more crust than you ever expect. The plain cheese was nice, but really overall no flavor in the sauce and it did not taste like fresh mozzarella, more like frozen shred. No fresh herbs or fresh taste,, just tomatoes. It also had cheese on about 2/3 of each slice, making the crust portion about 3 inches of the slice. The best pie was the veggie. Here they took some care in distribution of toppings, but still too much crust. All 3 pies were doughy and way undercooked - That limp soggy texture if you like that sort of thing. For the money you would expect a little more. At about a third of that price I could have had Domino's and it would have been comparable in quality. I guess some places now consider a tiny 16 inch pie a large... Not worth the premium price tag at all. Its a shame because I really wanted to like this place because it is around the corner from my house. I will continue to drive a few mins more for an 18 inch large with quality ingredients and cooked right and with crust only on the outer inch or so.
Do you really think this is edible? see the image. REALLY CAN'T BELIEVE someone would be selling this. It's not even fit for my dog. If I could give this pizza zero I would.
Was here on Sunday. Long wait but wouldn't mind if the pizza was great. It was very doughy, little sauce and little cheese. I asked for thin crust snd she said they all are thin crust. Not at all this was thicker than average. I have been trying various pizzas in the area and this one rates at the bottom. The pizza looked a mess.
Super yummy pizza and subs!! But can be too high on the price. This is a special occasion, once in a while family treat kinda place for our wallets. But I do know it's a go-to spot for our softball teams! They love their pizza, wings, and beer.
I am honestly embarrassed that I've lived here so long and never had Cap's Pizza. We ordered a large thin crust with pepperoni cooked well done. It was cooked to perfection! The crust was flakey and the cheese was gooey and melty. The garlic knots were out of this world with flavor. Staff was all so friendly and had great recommendations! We will be back for sure.
Love there spinach bacon pizza. Awesome wings and great Fries. Even better people. It's a local treat and everytime I'm in Vero I need to come through. They also have a vintage pac-man game that still works!!
What a disappointment. We just ordered their "famous" spinach pizza tonight and added meatball and onion. When we came home with it, it had mushrooms on it instead of meatballs, which I can not eat, had no flavor, and it was burnt to a crisp on the bottom. No heart goes into anything anymore these days. We're done with this place.
Ordered wings on doordash and they ended up giving my food to a random person and pretty much telling me tough luck once I called and asked what was talking so long. They also were very rude to my actual doordash driver when he went to pick up the food while on the phone with me. 0 stars
4:30pm Saturday afternoon 2/5/22 evening shift comes on, comes to our table once after day shift leaves, never took the pizza pan nor our trash of the table. The Fat! Waitress eats, goes to the bathroom then goes next door buys a monster coffee drink with a huge candy bar comes back (new Customers comes in sits down @ her table) eats her candy bar, 15 minutes later goes to the customers sitting @ the table gets their drink order, plays on her cell phone, goes to the bathroom AGAIN, eats a slice of pizza THEN takes the customer their drink. HELLO! WHERE IS THE MANAGER BETTER YET WHERE THE HELL IS THE OWN? How does this place stay in business?
I went there for the slice of pizza and drink special today and I was told that they ran out of pizza and couldn't order it unless I ordered a whole pie. Mind you this was during the lunch time special hours and I was there during the time they advertise. The waitress was so embarrassed for us because they refused to make us a pizza. I have been going to this place for some time and I have never been treated like that before. I won't ever walk into this place again since they would not serve us. We did end up going to Vittorio's which is around the corner at Winn Dixie and they were kind and caring and their pizza is better than caps. My recommendation is don't go back to caps unless you don't want to be served. By the way, I saw them kneading lots of dough in the back, so there is no excuse not to make pizza and satisfy the customer. Their loss .
