Prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights. Not listed in the menu. Waitress said there were 3 sizes. I chose the 12 oz. Unfortunately I did not ask the price of each. Before I received the check I told my dinner mate that I would not order it again. Tasteless. Even the au jus didn’t help it was also tasteless. When the check came I was shocked. $30.90 for a 12 oz portion. That’s $41.20 per pound. Half of which was fat. I don’t mind paying a reasonable price for good food but that was not reasonable. I grew up in a family owned restaurant. This is not “fine dining.” You’re not paying for any atmosphere. Diner-like at best. My fault for not asking the price ahead of time but could never have expected they would gouge customers like that. Other prices on menu seemed reasonable, a little on the high side compared to other restaurants in the area. BTW, Publix had standing rib roast on sale at the same time for $6.99 a pound. Live and learn.
My prime rib was tender and delicious... my collards were a little tough and not seasoned very well, not everyone knows how to cook em' down... my Mac n Cheese was pretty good but did taste pre-packaged. Over all, I believe you go there for their meats,(that they were mostly out of... good sign) not their sides. I'll have another go on a different day. Our service was great and so were the fried mushrooms!!! Have a go yourselves... it's not the old Fatboy's BBQ that was there for years, but it's worth a sit down and a smile.
Went on a Friday evening after playing golf with a buddy. Outstanding food. Rib's pulled meat sandwiches and plenty of different platters. Loved the food and the server Kristen was excellent. The food was over the top. Large portions and very good. I got the pulled pork with macaroni cheese salad and baked potato. $20. I was stuffed. They also have a bar and a couple large TV's. The food was great and the portions huge and tasty. Friday night is prime rib. By time we left place was jammed. Nice people.
The sunset was lovely. The food was mediocre at best Calamari came over cooked. Hush puppies were nearly burned on the outside. Raw on the inside. We waited for one hour and 25 minutes for food that was served cold. My brother got the blackened fish sandwich,it was seasoned but not blackened
I met friends for the Saturday night prime rib and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly medium rare. The baked potato was huge with lots of butter and sour cream and the salad was fresh and yummy. This is the second time I've been here and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone ?
I have had breakfast here twice, and today came in for an early supper. I really enjoyed breakfast both times. Their omelets are superb, as our their pancakes. Today I ordered the rib eye steak which was on special. It was cooked to order, and was an ample portion. The salad was excellent, and the baked potato was huge, though a bit dry. Our server was nice enough, and efficient. Very pleased with my experiences here, and if 4.5 stars was an option, I would have selected it. My wife had a chicken club which she reports as excellent. Very reasonably priced today.
I had the biscuits and sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was pretty basic and the biscuits were a little hard. I would eat here again but it's not a go too for me.
Never had a bad dinner at Cafe 66. My go to is garbage can fries with extra jalapeños, extra ranch & malt vinegar - I never tire of it! But more special than my favorite dish, is the fantastic team and especially the warmest welcome from Tiphanie- you have to experience her professionalism, grace, kindness, fun & spirit - you will be blown away. She makes you feel like her most special friend, the most valued customer & that anything to make your night the best is the minimum she would contemplate doing. It’s a great bbq place - honest, true & great quality - 100% enjoyable from walking in to walking out.
Ordered pick up. Cajun blue cheese burger was fine. FF cold...cold! Loaded nachos waste of money. Melted cheese atop nachos but whole cold shredded cheese middle nachos. Lettuce does not go on top of nachos! Maybe to hide cold cheese? Disgruntled! Deff not worth $30
First time we have tried this place and we were not super impressed. The service was lackadaisical at best and the food was mediocre. We were not immediately greeted and were told to sit at "table 6" .. as if we knew where that was. Finally, we were walked over and told our server would be with us shortly. Nearly 10 minutes go by and we still have no had a server. When she does show up, she apologized and said it was a miscommunication. We ordered a chicken wing appetizer and before we finished that, our food was out. I had ribs and they were already somewhat cold, but still flavorful. He ordered a cheesesteak and said it was very good. We spent well over $50.00 total, but did not feel the food was worth the price at all. It was not a place we care to return to.
