What can I say, it's damn good pizza. I always order a head, so there is never a wait of more than just a couple minutes. Prices are a bit high, but about what other places are charging.
Food was almost an hour late. When we called to get an update the girl answering the phone was EXTREMELY rude. Said “well you should of come and picked it up” and HUNG UP the phone. Very unprofessional. Food was also cold by the time it got here. Poor delivery girl was so sweet and apologetic.
Whenever we come to Vero we always go to Big Apple Pizza bc it's the only one I found that is just like our pizza in New Jersey! My 5 year old is super super picky and absolutely devours slice after slice ? ? ? ? And that said, it took a few not so good pizzas to find this place! Only thing is I ordered a plain pie and the young girl asked if I wanted cheese, i was like yea that would be nice lol. It wasn't a bad thing by any means, it was cute. She is young and I'm just glad to see young kids wanting to work! So I recommend this place 100% and think the girl that takes orders is doing a great job!!
Yesterday I ordered the xl works, like I have for years. I was charged $ 28 ( Friday) while I paid $24 on Tuesday. I went in to pick up the pizza. The ice tea machine leaked. The front computer was off. I was taken to the side computer to pay. I was left standing there 15 minutes. At this point I was getting irritated as I had waited almost 25 minutes. Some guy walks out and says,"Do you have cash?" "No", I replied. He said, " you can leave your credit card information and we will take care of the bill". I laughed and replied,"No, I'm not leaving you my credit card information". He replied," Then you can't have your pizza". I waited 25 minutes for nothing and there was no apology,no offer to make up for the inconvenience. By this time the pizza was likely cold. Had he said here just take it, it's on us, sorry for the wait. I would have brought cash back later after eating. The fluctuating prices, abhorrent customer service and lack of respect has solidified it. I will not return. In the past the extra cheese dripped off the pie. Tuesday I couldn't tell if there was extra. The quality has gone down but I remained loyal. That changed yesterday. I'll never return. Now I know why Nino's is busy all the time and big apple is not. Nino's here I come.
I've been ordering from big apple in Vero Beach for years. They had always been courteous and professional...... until yesterday. I arrived to get my pizza which was $4 ( on Friday) more than it was 4 days ago ( Tuesday). They couldn't explain why, so I said oh well. I went to pay and there was a leak in the tea holder. They shut off the computer. Then took me to another computer to pay. I stood there 15 minutes waiting for it to reboot. I was just left standing there. The restaurant was empty. Finally after 20 minutes so guy walks out says " Do you have cash?". "No", I replied. He said," Just leave us your credit card information and we will take care of the bill for you". Of course I laughed first and said, Absolutely not, who in their right mind would leave their credit card information?" Perhaps he would like my social security number and banking info as well. He actually said ( after making me wait 25 minutes) then you can't have your pizza, which by now was likely cold. I said bye. If he had given me the pizza I would have returned later with cash. I don't expect free food. This was not my fault. I do except an apology for the inconvenience. After all I waited 25 minutes for nothing, not including driving there. He could have offered a free small pizza for the inconvenience at a later time of course. The fact that the service was absolutely abhorrent means that I will not return. They're never busy and I can see why.
Wanted pizza and I couldn't remember why we stop going to Big Apple pizza.. Now I remember, waited 45 minutes for crust and tomato. Margarita pizza literally had less than a quarter cup of cheese over the entire large pizza there was a about 3 different types of CANNED tomato. The works pizza had plenty of toppings but the crust was so thin and soggy there was no picking it up. I literally served my kids a bowl of pizza with a fork. I will Remember not to go here again and to warn all others to do the same.
Loved the pizza and the Italian food. Got the sample dinner to try out a variety and was very pleased. Grandson has pizza and my daughter ordered manicotti, all excellent. And the service was great too.
Worst customer service. They would rather turn a customer away than make a pizza they want. We wanted all the toppings of the white pizza on the mama Lino style crust. They would not. Do it. But hey go to Pizzoodles! Better pizza anyways.
Ordered half mushroom and half bacon should have ordered plain cheese and saved money. The bacon was sparse and also the mushrooms.i asked for thin and well done didn't get that either.I think you guys lost pride in what you serve your customers.
Best pizza in town. Reasonably priced. Great menu selection ♥️
