Really good spot for breakfast and coffee. Boys had French toast and Belgian waffles and loved the. I had the Pope breakfast sandwich which is worth the trip and my wife had quiche and loved it. Nothing left on the plates I strongly encourage you visit VIC.
Sadly this location is 500 miles from my house, so I'm glad when I do get to visit it. Always friendly service, an expanding menu and amazing food. Had some of the best pancakes this morning and my wife said the quiche melts in the mouth. Amazing latte too! And they did something that usually never happens - there was so much food on my plate I got full and couldn't finish it.
We waited over an hour and a half for our food. Multiple tables that came in 45 minutes after us got our food first. The staff was immature and inattentive. Worst experience I’ve had in the Venice area. We never got our food and left after being bombarded by the awful staff about our drinks that we waited almost a half hour for. I’m sure the food would have been good but the customer service was awful. I recommend this place to no one and will never be back.
It makes me sad to leave a bad review on a small family business but it wasn’t pleasant. We paid 8 dollars for a 16oz ice coffee that tasted bitter and old. I worked at a coffee place for years so I know what it’s supposed to taste like. This was not it. I went to the bathroom while my boyfriend paid so I didn’t see the receipt but I’m assuming the hostess may have pressed some accidental charges.Also, there’s something so lovely about walking in and smelling coffee… this place smelled like fabuloso but somehow didn’t look that clean. The bathroom needs a refresh and a good dusting and the place in general felt a little dingey
We live off and on on the Island and have tried all the coffee shops for our morning pastry and coffee. Venice Island Coffee is the best on the island period. The staff is quick to remember repeat customers and even run back into the kitchen for a special request. The server staff make us feel like a small town coffee shop should. It is a family affair but mom and dad were on vacation this week and the staff seemed to want us all to understand the service and kitchen would not miss a beat. They got it right like every day. If living on or visiting the Island make sure you try breakfast or lunch at Venice Island Coffee.
Ordered the pancakes with sausage. Appreciated the waitress suggesting only 1 pancake instead of 2 , as it was huge. But it really wasn’t very good & I had to ask for my sausage which finally came half way thru my meal. Also had to ask for butter & a refill of my coffee. Not impressed with the food or the service. Sorry!
Ordered 2 bagel sandwiches with hash browns and 2 coffees. For 35 dollars we had cold food, had to ask for our order as the front staff is just rude and busy whispering about everything. They literally stood there with our bag of food gossiping instead of giving us our food. Then they tell us, once they finally stopped gossiping, they were out of hash browns. No apologies, no offer of a credit for the food we paid for and didn’t receive but they did give us a bit of mushy fruit. The bagels were obviously old and barely edible. Hardly any egg on the sandwiches. I think the split one egg between the two sandwiches. As far as I am concerned. The owners owe me $35.00. Will never go back.
Terrible service!!Inattentive to customers!!Happened on 2 occasions!!Walked out after waiting 15 minutes to be greeted.No shortage of wait staff, just busy chitchatting.Will not go back!!
The place was cute and had so much potential! All of the tables were dirty inside, but we sat at one anyway. When the waitress came to our table I asked if they had been busy. She said it had been pretty slow. She did not offer to wipe off the table, so I asked. 4 teenagers working, but were not interested in service or the customers. They spent a lot of time talking to each other and the service seemed very unorganized. We had to wait in line to pay, while one of the workers ate her lunch at the counter. The food was good, but the lack of cleanliness and service became the overriding impression Just disappointed.
My absolute favorite breakfast/coffee shop on the island and I've been to them all(often)Great staff, great owners, great food and coffee!Do yourself a favor and try the Corey!(The best breakfast sandwich I've ever had)
