The worst supper ever experienced in Venice and surrounding area. We order the two lamb skewers on a salad bed with one side. The lamb was so tough that it was inedible and we left in totally uneaten. It was full of gristle. In complaining to our waiter, he made no offer to take this off our bill or any apology for how poorly the lamb was prepared. And then, server server was inept and seemed frustrated when we asked him for silverware (which had not been provided before our meals arrived). And then he made a big deal about the credit card surcharge that was about to be applied to our bill but he finally agreed to remove it when we complained that there had been no advance notice that The Venice Ale House charges a credit card surcharge. This visit to the Venice Ale House was an extreme disappointment and it goes without out saying, we WILL NEVER BE BACK.

Great customer service!! Awesome food and our beer…. Hazy high wire!!

First visit and definitely will not be our last. Fantastic service and excellent food. Greek wings to start were outstanding as were the Greek fries. The Ale house platter was so delicious and certainly enough for two.

Incredible service, Brian was so attentive and friendly, amazing food, delish drinks. I have been searching for yummy Greek food for quite some time here in Florida. My family and I highly recommend.

Wonderful authentic Greek food. Wonderful atmosphere and staff. The owner cares about her food quality and making sure everyone has good food and a great time

I heard the food was good, saw lot of reviews so my expectations were high and they were met.I had a falafel and my mom had a chicken sandwich. You could tell everything was so fresh. The staff was super friendly and seemed to really respect each other and the owner came out to check on us as well. You don't find that much these days so it was a delightful experience.

The menu is diverse, I will give them that although what passes for Greek food is pretty limited. This was my second experience at the Ale House and I was less impressed the second time around. To be fair, this second time I was part of a group of 20 ladies for a monthly luncheon, but which had been booked several weeks in advance. So they knew we were coming--but they weren't ready for us. The one young man serving was horribly overwhelmed and the older woman who came to help him (a manager perhaps) was just as flustered. Not only were many orders wrong but we had to wait for those wrong orders for an hour after us all getting there. My food (one of the specials, so it should at least have been hot) came lukewarm and watery, although the Greek salad with it was good. We had to physically take the empty water jugs up to the server to get them refilled and then they were just returned to a table behind us, so we had to get up and fetch them. Accommodating big groups are difficult, granted, but if you can't handle it, don't offer to host them. (BTW, it was not me who argued with the server. I was merely an observer, and just so you know, Deb, I chastised her for her behavior afterwards.)

menu has a nice variety & prices are very reasonable. food was good.

We ate here for lunch with family. We were greeted by a friendly server who offered to follow us to wherever we wanted to be seated. He was attentive and enthusiastic throughout our meal. We opted for the Gyros with Greek Fries. The dish was flavorful, and the fries were definitely a treat!
