To perfection blackened Wlleye desserts were wonderful. The white chocolate martini was out of this world.
Back again to a great place. This is a must go to. Everything we had was to perfection from service to food to a super nice manager Mike.
Wow! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted very warmly. We were then seated at an adorable tiki hut on the river. Beautiful views! The food was excelent! We ordered oyster Rockefeller, Blackend grouper, seafood risotto and the churro desert! I only have 1 critique: the blackening could have been more generous but I love spice. Overall a wonderful date night!
We’ve been here twice: Mon. 4/11 & 4/25 & we had fabulous food both times! The first time, we got oysters on the half shell, Oysters Rockefeller, Seafood Risotto, & the Hawaiian burger. The 2nd, we had 1/2 lb hot peel & eat shrimp, a Hawaiian burger & the black & bleu burger. Both the oysters and shrimp were cleaned perfectly, which for some reason is difficult to find! You can tell by the photos there’s not one ounce of anything grainy in the shrimp. The oysters were the same way. I thought my oysters on the half shell were moderately priced considering the times, quite delicious, and while one or two were small most were decent sized. We got 14 shrimp in the half pound, which was a perfect amount. The seafood risotto was cooked properly, with plenty of seafood… some scallops, clams, mahi, shrimp. Good flavor and I ate the whole thing. The Hawaiian burger was so good the first time around when my boyfriend ordered it that I got it the second time around. I had it cooked medium and it was scrumptious! Both of us love the fact that the bun is toasted with butter! We had Theresa the first time and Kim the second time and each one provided us with courteous and professional service.I ordered a few drinks from the bar and that’s the only place I would say needs some improvement. Today, I had an Absolute Moscow mule which didn’t have any flavor and tasted very watery. The first time around, I had a Mojito and while I didn’t ask for a coconut Mojito, it had a coconut flavor and wasn’t quite the right color— it was kind of milky white and it should be clear with plenty of mint and lime. I might wait to order those types of cocktails in the near future (because I know they are in transition) until they kind of get their bar flowing better. All in all, we will go back again and again. We always arrive by boat which is absolutely delightful and close to home! When compared to what it used to be, the difference is astounding and far better! The tiki huts are super cute, the atmosphere is very festive (outside— I don’t believe there has been any renovating on the inside as of yet) & the service is stellar.
This place rocks! We had the oysters! Best in Florida! We also both had salads that were delish! Personally, I think the Wedge with shrimp is the freshest and tastiest dressing I’ve EVER had!
Waited 11 minutes after being seated before anyone came to our table...only because my wife went to speak to hostess!! Walleye was bland no flavor, " bed of rice" was 3 forkfuls good thing because it was dry!! hush puppies were chewy and still cold in the center!! My fries were hot my wife fries were 50/50!! The old place had the same problems!! Some things never change... sorry except the name and pretty high prices for sure. $18 for fries don't go!!
We had made a reservation for outside and when we got there a lot of confusion. We were told inside that we had a reservation but to see the outside hostess who did not have us on her list. She did go inside and got things clarified and we ended up getting a table outside. The new tiki tables are great, like them a lot. We ordered drinks and appetizer and drinks were slow to come but appt came quickly. From the time we ordered our dinner which was before the appts came and dinner was at the table in less than 10 minutes. Felt a little rushed. Food was hot and delicious. The grilled blacked walleye was well cooked and the fish and chips was also delicious. The shrimp po boy was tasty as well. Overall food excellent just some tweaking on the service. Not the servers, they were all great just timing and being slick with the hostess knowing what is going on.
First time we had been here since it changed names. I was really looking forward to it. Not missing anything. The atmosphere is wonderful and that is it. We ordered Fish & Chips. It was at our table in under 2 minutes. That is never a good sign. Obviously, it was pre-cooked and sitting in kitchen. Cold and soggy. We sent it back and they brought us out another order. It was hot and that was about it. Sure was not worth the $20 they charge. They really need to up their game. Way too many other places with fantastic water views, great food, strong drinks for less money. Very disappointed!
Ordered beers and appetizers. The beer was cold. The steamed clams were cold. The fish dip was cold. Meh
The oysters were great, gator bites, coconut shrimp and the pot stickers were all very good. The people who ordered the seafood pasta liked it. I would recommend it.
