The staff are sweet and the service was great! The baby backs were pretty good. The St. Louis not so much.The staff was very accommodating and got me another 1/2 slab of the baby back to take with me. They had a great flavor and fell off the bone.
Waitress was less than desirable. She was way to quick and wasn’t attentive. She brought the first beer and it was half foam. Ordered another and again half foam. Made a comment to her and she totally ignored us. The ribs not meaty at all. The full rack had less meat on them than the half rack. Very unfriendly server.Probably won’t be back. Will go back to Goldrush and Darrel’s.
Been here twice in two weeks time. Proof that restaurants are having hard time getting workers as I had the very same waitress & she was only waitress !!! I am never disappointed at this restaurant...only bad thing is I have to drive so far as they closed the one in St. Pete. Baby Backs are $1.00 off on Sundays [full rack]
Rib City, a casual diner with great ribs, located in strip mall, SE Venice, fun place to eat! Big servings for reasonable price. Ribs, shrimp and corn on the cob made for a good dinner out. Waitress was attentive, pleasant and quick with our meals too!
Oh my gosh!!!! We order a slab of baby back ribs for each person! Yum yum yum!!! It was to die for!!! Our waitress was funny and on top of our needs. She was great!!! Best ribs ever. The sides were delicious too. You have to go and experience it. You won't regret it if you love meat.....
We ordered some take out last night, a pound of smoked turkey, garlic toast, and a small (pint) of baked beans, and a small(pint) of coleslaw. I also asked for extra bbq sauce. The beans and coleslaw were each a 4 ounce tub like you might get dipping sauces in. For $7.99 each. And we only got 2 little bbq sauce cups. Unfortunately we left a large tip as well. Never again. What a massive rip off.
Ribs & baked potato were good and our server excellent.
Went with friends. My husband and I ordered a meal they had on Special of a rack of ribs and your choice of another meal which we chose beef brisket. We had to laugh when they brought out our meal. The brisket was sliced so thin it would not hold together if you held up a slice which there was about 3 slices there was so substance to it. The ribs were so dry & overcooked a gallon of sauce would not have helped. Obviously they were cooked with liquid smoke rather than actually smoked ribs. I almost forgot the appetizer we ordered was mozzarella sticks, they were the same as the ones I buy from Costco.Someone came in with a dog sat in one of the booths and allowed the dog to sit in her lap, when their food came they allowed the dog to eat off a plate.. Disgusting, because the waitress saw them and never told them they had to put the dog on the floor. if you are thinking of ribs skip this place.
Ordered the buffalo chicken salad with extra chicken. Told me the chicken only comes in 1/2 lb orders so I said ok. Got my bag and asked if the cutlery was inside and the staff said yes. Walked outside to get into my truck and no cutlery. Walked back inside and was given one. Back inside my truck I opened up the box to find the buffalo chicken salad had no buffalo sauce. Walked back in a second time to get buffalo sauce. Start eating my salad and the chicken is leaking grease. I mean I understand it's fried but there was an excessive amount of grease to it. First time I tried this place and half wishing I would have just went to subway next door
This is a local and no frills casual place that is known for their mastery of the barbecue. It's very basic inside but don't let that stop you from dining here or ordering takeout. The ribs, burgers, pulled pork are sooooo good! I ordered a half rack of ribs, baked potato and green beans. The ribs were very tender, fell off the bone easily. They offer Texas toast vs corn bread with your meal which I loved but others in my group wished cornbread was on the menu. Their baked beans are delish. Green beans are ok. The pulled pork was fabulous, (tender and flavorful).Rib City's pricing is excellent for them the amount of food you receive.They were short staffed but you'd never know it. We loved our waitress. The staff was very attentive, considerate, friendly, hard working and still our food came within 10 minutes.
