I’m very picky about the temperature of my beer. Coldest beer in Venice and that is no lie!! Everything I ever ordered off their menu has always been super tasty!I don’t believe you will ever be unhappy by choosing Norma Jeans for a gathering of friends, family and plenty of TV’s for sporting events.
Great Atmosphere/ambiance with live music and a grand piano on Friday and Saturday night. They have a dark steak house style room with the piano on one side and a sports bar with a bunch of TVs on the other. Emmy Steak was great and cooked perfectly and our server Dillon was the Best! For a nice steak and whiskey or to watch the game, Norma Jeans is the spot.
i have been there twice, both times the food was terrible and the service was bad. the last time, we sat at our table for 15 minutes until we could get a waitress to acknowledge that we were there. Will not go back.
Stopped in for a drink after the Sox/Braves game. Sat at the bar. Very friendly group of people (regulars???). Ended up ordering pizza. Excellent choice. Only issue, service was a bit slow since the bartender was working by herself to handle seated patrons as well as bar patrons and taking food orders from the bar customers. Under the circumstances, she handled it very well. Deserves a raise!
The waiter was Johnny on the spot with a smile and great service. Had the burger ? with a little pink in the center was one of the best burger I've had in a long time.
Looks nondescript from the outside. Inside a genuine dive bar. TV's in some of the booths creating a below average ambience. The weird thing is they have the best tasting food I have eaten in the greater Venice area. It might even enter into the Gourmet class of food. Much better that the chow from the RITZ in Sarasota!
Worst experience. After 10 minutes of sitting the waiter comes over. Then another 10 minutes for the beer I ordered. Stared at my food on the counter for 10 minutes. Another waiter finally brought it. Forgot the blue cheese and ranch for the wings literally 3 seconds after I asked for them. Another waiter had to bring it after another 10 minutes since everyone likes to just be outside instead. Brought me wings and burgers at the same time, like why is it even labeled appetizer? Brought the check, had to wait another 10 for a pen. $55 check. Normally woulda been a $15 tip on that. Waste of money. Didn't eat it by that point, was too annoyed with trying to help her so her job. I know she wasn't busy there was 4 tables of people inside, 2 tables outside and 3 waiters. Hear them talking by the register after bringing my check "I'm really out of it today" yea no kidding. I'll never be back.
My wife and I went to Norma Jean's today and I wanted to take advantage of their Thursday Prime Rib Special. See below screenshot from their current webpage as of 3/10/22. After we received the check I noticed we were charged $24 for the Prime Rib instead of $15.99. When I asked the waitress about the special she stated that they never had a $15.99 special and after I stated it was on their web page she brought the manager. The manager told me that they have not had that special for over two years and when I challenged her that it was currently on their web page she told me they had no control over their own web page as it is managed by a third party. It seemed clear to me that she has had this conversation with other unsuspecting patrons and I was going to be on the wrong end of this conversation. I paid the bill and left a 20% tip. The waitress was great. The only thing I can do is not go back and let others know which is the purpose of this post.
