My husband and I decided to try based on a recommendation. As I always do, I asked what they were known for, as I like to order accordingly. Waiter said everything. That being said we ordered. Split a house salad. Dressing was delicious and served in a cruet. All home made. Bread was Outstanding!! Dinner served. I ordered eggplant parmigiana. Husband ordered veal Parmigiana. Eggplant was smothered in so much cheese and sauce that it was trying to disguise the “fresh eggplant”. I really had no clue what I was eating. The pasta was over cooked. The grated Parmesan cheese on table was not grated Parmesan. Not even close. Not sure what was in the shaker. After dinner, I gave the waiter another opportunity tell me what they are known for as I saw a lot of people order pizza. He told me “the pasta “. I asked if it was homemade and he said “no”. Perhaps this is more of a pizza place, but I will never know, as I don’t intend to go back
Excellent food and service. The orders are "family style" so agree on something to share! There are some options for a single servings too. Very reasonable food prices but wine and desert will drive up the bill quickly. Only cash or check - a bit unusual these days, but maybe that keeps the food prices lower. Our new ""go to" Italian restaurant.
We enjoyed Dinner at the Luna tonite. We ordered a Pizza which was excellent and the Luna fried mozzarella and fried zucchini, which were awesome as well. And my husband who loves a good dish of seafood ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta. His eyes grew very large as his family sized dish approached the table. Needless to say he will be sharing his leftovers and getting a few more meals out of the dish himself. We all left full and Happy with take home portions of the pizza as well. We will be coming back to Luna's. Our first time visiting, but it won't be our last. Thumbs up to Luna's.
It was a joy to get up and leave upon learning that they did not accept credit or debit cards. Waited a long time just to have the Rude Woman with the cool glasses (believe me, she knows they're cool) come up and act like we were annoying her for wanting to eat dinner. She FINALLY decided there were in fact tables outside (which we could plainly see upon arrival) that were available. She wanted no extraneous interactions and could barely make eye contact (um, we have the money and were dressed appropriately and are friendly so I have no idea why she was so rude) HOWEVER, I was glad/sad to see that she did this to another older couple who were dressed very elegantly. She rudely told them "NOT that TABLE!" when she was very vague about where she was seating them. It was only then that I overheard them say they don't take cards. They didn't even sit and decided to leave. It was then that I said, "come on! Let's go!" And we had an awesome dinner a few blocks away. Providence it was! I can only imagine how many people eat, get ready to pay, and then have to send a member of their party out to any ATM. Glad we didn't have to deal with them beyond being seated. Do NOT recommend.
Couldn’t even take more than one bite of this pizza. Quality is terrible. Has to be day old pizza and you can clearly tell. Super salty. Crust was not even chewable. I’m a New Yorker and it’s embarrassing to call this “New York style pizza.” Don’t do us like that.
If I could give this ZERO STARS I would! As a girl from NY, this has to be the saltiest and grossest pizza I’ve ever tasted. It is absolutely fake looking and tasting. Dominoes would surpass this place by a landslide. And the host is the RUDEST human being I’ve ever met. Don’t waste your money like I just did. Looked at the pizza and threw out the pizza and my $42… worst money I’ve ever spent
My family was visiting on spring break and stopped at Luna as friends has suggested it. We were highly disappointed. Incredibly unfriendly host/greeter. Threw our menus on the table acting upset to even have to seat us. A really cool place, in a great location, and what seemed to look like really good food. But after being treated so poorly…we sat down and started looking at the menus just to notice that they don’t take cards. After a rather harsh response when we asked if they took checks, we decided to leave our table and simply walk out. We will not be back.
This is a very fun Italian restaurant. All the staff members are super friendly. There is soft music in the background which perfect. The "Pizza" is the BOSS.I have had their spaghetti to which is awesome. The "Lava" they serve with fresh baked warm bread is something to look forward to before your meal. It is a little spicy but that is what makes it yummy. You gotta try them. You won't be disappointed. Everytime we have eaten here we are always pleased.JUST BE SURE YOU HAVE CASH.THEY DON'T TAKE CHECKS OR CARDS.???? ??
Family style portions, plenty to share. Careful how you order, especially if you're two. Linguine with fresh clams in white sauce, ( ask for fresh clams, not from the can) the way I have it perpaired. Their are many other selections, including pizza. Mike and Sam (husband and wife) work hard to deliver the finest. Oh, and Sam ( wife) makes homemade lasagna from scratch, the way my mom and wife make it. Sam doesn't cut corners when it comes to cooking.
Dinner was OK nothing to brag about .. we were asked to move leave after paying the bill.. I've worked in alot of restaurants and never did this to a party...
