I've been to A LOT of local pizza shops, searching for the best, and I think I've found my absolute favorite. The sourdough crust in particular is hands down the best in Venice. Really sets it apart from the competition.While obviously not as good as real cheese, the vegan cheese alternative is actually pretty decent and appreciated if you're looking for it.The only thing that would make this place better is if I lived closer and they offered a BLT pizza.(Suggestion: Crispy bacon peices, diced tomato, herbed mayo sauce, and shredded romaine lettuce with a light drizzle of Italian dressing on the side when ready to top. All on that wonderful sourdough crust... That would be perfection!)
1 star doesn’t even do justice to how horrid our food was tonight. We ordered garlic knots with extra cheese, a gluten free pizza, and Buffalo wings. Holy moly was the food awful. The garlic knots were cold, burnt, and stuck to the tinfoil. We paid for extra cheese and it’s literally a tub of stuck on cheese and grease. The food was cold, the delivery said 45 minutes and it actually took 90+ minutes. It arrived in a wet paper bag of grease that was falling apart. The Buffalo wings were awful, cold, and tiny. We paid 12 dollars for 8 of the smallest wings you’ll ever see.I will say that once the gluten free pizza was reheated under the broiler it was good. My son has celiac so his delivery options are limited. We’re glad his food was salvageable. I have no idea how this place has such high reviews. I will never consider this place again.
Easily the best pizza I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve tried more than I’ll care to admit. Toppings fresh, seasoned just right but you can say that about 1000s of pizzas. The crust here is what makes the difference. I would never have guessed how much of a difference sour dough would make. Wow. I’m hooked and can’t wait to try all their specialty pies.
My family’s new favorite pizza place here in lovely Venice. Great quality. fresh ingredients purchased locally. Friendly staff. Prompt, consistent. Great coupon deals. Nick is the man!
We stumbled upon this place and all I can say is WOW! Nick was very friendly and attentive. The New Yorker pizza was the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was crispy yet chewy and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Speaking of fresh, they grow basil right outside the restaurant. You can tell the owners take pride in their food and business. I'm excited to try more pizzas soon.
Amazing pizza and wings! Center of pizza was just a little bit soggy, could have used another min or two but the flavor was excellent and the toppings were fresh. Staff was very friendly and made sure to verify everything was correct before payment.
Really delicious pizza! We got the veggie pizza, and a Build your own with pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives. The crust was still crisp and flavorful by the time we got it home. Both pizzas were good, but we both really enjoyed the veggie pizza. The only issue was the online ordering for BYO wasn’t super clear on pricing, so I had no idea what my total would be until I checked out.
So glad to find this pizza place! We were so excited to eat we forgot to take a picture of our pizza and garlic knots. Delicious! Friendly, efficient service highly recommend.
Big pizza lover and I've tried most of the long time establishments in, and around the Venice/Sarasota area over the years. Been loyal to a few for decades, but this place is really worth a try ! GREAT traditional Italian crust with excellent ingredients (especially the sauce). But MOST of all, this crust is cooked to perfection ~ love it. It's my go to pizza place from now on and I highly recommend them for your pizza orders.
My family just ordered 3 different pies (cheese, supreme, + Hawaiian). Safe to say we've found our go-to pizza place from here on out. Both the adults and kiddos were very happy. Great crust, sauce, + fresh toppings make this place a win.
