Comfortable, friendly. Wine by the glass. Location near the port. Lovely Rhodes architecture surrounds the plaza. A nice breeze from the west. I don't see children.
We love Venice in May and have eaten here two years in a row. Hubby got Pot Au Feu (French pot roast) again and I got the crab stuffed flounder. Both very good. The kitchen and waitress were great about accommodating some dietary restrictions.
Cafe Venice never disappoints. It’s my go-to when I am in the area. The chicken salad on a croissant is so good. Kasia was an attentive server during this visit. Sit outside and enjoy the Venice vibes.
This was my first visit to this restaurant with a party of eight. I have to start with a compliment for our server Jeffrey who provided excellent and very efficient waiter service for managing everyone's order flawlessly.I ordered the Slow Braised Pork Osso Bucco, with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli. This was an excellent choice with meat that was very flavorful and actually fell off the bone. I was surprised with the size of this restaurant which can accommodate many people including an outdoor covered dining area.There is accessibility for handicap needs and parking. I would definitely return to try some of the other inviting food choices. We ate at prime time on Easter Sunday so reservations were made in advance. The restaurant was crowded given the holiday.
Classy place. We enjoyed a wonderful Easter Dinner here. Great food and service even on such a hectic day. Definitely going back, great menu.
Saturday nights it is a very happening place, would not recommend a romantic dinner but nice spot to hangout. Escargot was a little salty with the sundried tomato butter it was cooked in but very tender. I had a pot roast dish with parsnip and potato puree it was amazing but I would recommend a different vegetable as mine came with a pile of steamed previously frozen green beans with no butter, oil or seasoning. Others at the bar also received them and were not thrilled. Service was great and very affordable and they had my Celtics game on. Definitely go back but please hold the green beans
We were greeted by a very pleasant bartender on arrival. Had cocktails at the bar and actually had 2 bartenders that were very pleasant while we waited for our table to be ready. We watched the staff while seated at the bar and noticed one staff member who had a very bad scowl on her face and was talking pretty harshly to the other staff. After moving to our table and being greeted by our very exceptional waitress, we observed this same staff person barking orders at waiters and bus people. While eating our very delicious food we asked about this person and found out to our surprise that she was the owner!!! I have to say our experience was almost perfect except for having to listen and watch her. With all of the shortages of good help I'm surprised she has so many pleasant people working at this restaurant. I would love to give a 5 star rating but can't based on the owners actions because it took a little bit away from our dining experience. Salmon and filet were cooked to perfection. Hopefully she was just having a bad day.
Had an awesome dinner or server was fantastic. Was able to make reservations for 4 at 6 pm. The bar area had live music and we sat in the other room and the music was nice, wasn’t too loud. Nice wine selection, we tried a sip before we ordered the whole bottle. Huge menu.
Excellent food and service at Cafe Venice. I have been going to this restaurant for some years now, they used to be across the street before they moved. All the staff are so nice and friendly, they go out of their way to make the experience as wonderful as possible for their customers. Their menu is always good quality. I highly recommend Cafe Venice!
Excellent service and food! Love the atmosphere! My favorite place for dinner!!!!! Looking forward to visiting there again.
