My family and I were on vacation and once we found this spot it was our go to everyday on Vacation! The food and drinks are amazingly made. The employees make you feel so welcomed as soon as you step in that door. And I do need to mention the homemade muffins especially their chocolate chip one my son and I absolutely love! Can't wait to come back down for vacation we will be back!
We went to visit Black and Gold Coffee Roasters yesterday. The smell of roasted Coffee is amazing. It came highly recommended by friends. The Coffee was delicious as were the Black and Gold Bagel sandwiches we all ordered. We will gladly return. They are incredibly busy so you may have to wait inside and out. Very Friendly.

First time visitors. Service was good. Coffee is great. Inside was cool vibes. Coffee roaster, bags of beans, high and low bar seating and tables inside and out. - Iced lattes. Caramel for the wifey with all the sugar free syrups and low calorie milk options. All the flavor and calories for my "Turtle" iced latte. (chocolate/caramel). Sprites for the kids, they are not ready for this Boujee coffee yet. ?? -- Took away a star for the sprites. $3 for a 12oz can of Sprite? I almost took away 2 ⭐ stars for that. Coffee was great. The soda price was NOT! - Parent's if you are going to bring your kids "Pregame" their drinks and snacks before you get here.
Coffee was mid-tier at best, but I did get some entertainment from watching the little owner of the business giving some unfortunate customers a whole lot of attitude for someone his age. The reviews on here that mention him and his antics seem to match what I witnessed, and his replies to those reviews would be comedy gold if they were coming from a prank show writer instead of a real-life middle-aged man . Probably won’t be coming back, and I’m sure he’ll let me know on here that he doesn’t want me back in the shop anyway.
Always worth a stop whenever I'm in the Venice area. Today's cafe mocha and raspberry white chocolate scone were so delicious. Thank you Gary and crew for bringing such a nice coffee shop to Venice!
Black Gold is more like a Diamond in the rough and an absolute gem. The staff is so courteous, friendly, kind, hard working, and attentive to detail. Such a nice and comfortable place to grab coffee, fresh made baked goods (including gluten free and vegan), artisan chocolate, and assorted truffles. This is no doubt one of my favorite places to go in Venice and one of my favorite coffee shops in Florida!
We stopped by for a Mocha and Zucchini Bread. All the employees welcomed us throughout our visit with big smiles and nice greetings. The coffee was good. The bread could have had a little more spices.
First time here…visiting a friend. The frozen espresso shake was the best beverage of this kind I’ve ever had. The muffin was incredible! I went back a few days later for another shake. Now I’m craving more! Sad I had to go back home. Major withdrawal!
