Don't waste your time stopping here. They are still using COVID as an excuse to ignore you at the door, even though they are usually empty. The "hostess" might eventually waddle over in slow motion if you wait a half-hour or so. Then she will seat you wherever you don't want to be seated "because they are short-staffed," even though there is nothing else for the staff to do but watch TV. If you go through all that and still have an appetite, good luck. It won't get any better. Food will be cold, as if they purposely waited on it to cool before bringing it out. Service almost non-existent. Forget condiments or refills, that's not what they do. They do, however, joke loudly about their personal lives with each other for lengthy amounts of time around the computer; perhaps to avoid eye contact. If this chain can't pay enough to motivate their employees to provide the expected service, they need to shut down. Second and third chances have already been given. The last three experiences have all went as described. The entire Applebee's brand will continue to be tarnished by this location's pitiful existence until major improvements in customer service are made.
Can't call restaurant to order at all. I tryed 5 times several times during the month, either someone picks up and leaves phone off hook and you can hear the noice in restaurant but they don't get it. Or it goes to a disconnect beeping.. sorry you reached a non wirking number. The owner of this store needs to call to place an order and see what im taking about. I have to speak to someone because i have a gluten allergy and can't just order it on line... there going down hill....
The food was awesome and cheap. The service was great. I went in hungry and came out fool. Nice place to eat, there is much to choose from.
We always go to Appleby's when we are in Venice Florida to visit. Our male server was friendly and our drinks, appetizer Boneless wings) was great BUT the girl at the door was an ignorant BITCH!! She didn't greet 1 customer that came through the door not even us. Our table that she lead us to without saying a word was dirty, she put the menus down and walked away. I asked her to wipe the table but she wiped the table in front of ours even though there was no one there to be seated and we stood and waited. The she spoke ..... THE TABLE ISN'T DIRTY!!! I'm sorry? Yes it is, we wouldn't have asked for it to be done and stand there and wait if it wasn't DIRTY! She gave it a quick wipe and walked away. When the waiter came to take our drink orders, he grabbed a cloth to dry the table without us even asking for it to be done. She need better customer service. We won't be going back before we leave.
The first time I went was to pick up a couple of chicken tender salads. It was thrown together sloppy like a last minute thought. The second time, I went about a month later was for a couple of dinners. I placed the order online for curbside pickup, waited for 25 minutes and went I got home, the dinners were literally dumped in the tray together, no presentation and looked like it was deliberately just piled on topped on each other. I couldn't let that go. I wrote a complaint through the website on the receipt and was NEVER contacted. The first time may have been a fluke, but not the second time. No customer having to pay more than 40 dollars should have to deal with this and be expected to leave a tip on top of that.
Went there for my husband's birthday and had a great time!! The waitress was awesome and repeated our order and got it perfectly!! Very good All around ? ? ? ?!!
After stopping at Chili's next door and not getting any service, we left and went to Applebee's. Super service as soon as we stepped in the door. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Food came out fast, hot, and all orders were cooked as requested. All the staff working were friendly and polite. We will be stopping here again and Chili's can kiss my business goodbye. Applebee's will be my new go to place. Oh and the sweet tea could use a bit more sugar. Thank You for showing your customers you care about their business.
This is not something I usually do as I have worked in the restaurant business for 23 years. Today my son and I came for lunch and we were greeted very promptly by a nice man(may have been the manager) we were seated and told that someone would be right with us. They were not busy at all and I do understand staffing issues, but it was 15 min before we were even approached for a drink. A young girl came over stating she was not a server but she was getting our drinks.. We finally got our drinks and waited another 10 minutes for our "server" to show up. She was very cold and short with us almost seemed annoyed we were there. We ordered our entrees and 2 salads. It took another 15 to 20 minutes before our salads were brought out again by the 1st young girl. Our food eventually showed up and and was definitely not prepared the way it usually is. We order the same thing every time. By this time our drinks were completely empty and our server Jenny C had no intentions of filling them as she began to walk away. I asked her for refills which she eventually brought although she seemed annoyed. She never came back to check on us although although our entire side of the restaurant was completely empty. I was very disappointed in my entree as I mentioned before it was prepared differently with A different sauce. I did ask her to bring extra sauce and she brought a teriyaki sauce and flung it on the table. I poured it all over my pasta and chicken entree then realizing that it was teriyaki sauce instead of the honey barbecue sauce it was supposed to be. As mentioned before she never came back to check for me to complain. So $50 for a very disappointing lunch. We came here specifically for this meal because it is my son's favorite and we were celebrating him getting his license today. Jenny missed out on a good tip by being annoyed with us. Do better! Very disappointed
Two for one domestic beers and other drinks. I really like the Oriental salad with grilled chicken...dressing is tangy and delicious. Wifey likes the cheeseburger quesadilla. Good service, tasty meals and the price is right!
I absolutely love the location that I went to always good seating fast friendly waitresses the food taste good I find myself when I don't know what to eat I keep going right back to Applebee's and I always go to this exact same one really really I'm pretty impressed with this one
